(Long Read, so many great things to mention)
Tried SAP for the first time this morning after glowing recommendations from family, and our experience went above and beyond what we expected even with these reviews from our family and what we found here on Google.
The first great impression was with the host/hostess up front. Professional, friendly, very organized. They managed their busy opening so well(we arrived right at 8 in the morning and it was already packed). They handled expectations flawlessly and we were so impressed with them.
Second great experience was with our coffee bar orders. We ordered a dirty chai (chai latte with espresso) and a peppermint mocha, they were both excellent quality.
For our breakfast orders, we had the Lox bagel and the Special-of-the-day burrito, great flavors/portions. I thought it was very clever to have the lox bagel deconstructed since different people want different amounts of cream cheese/capers/etc. so being able to build your own lox bagel was a bonus in my opinion (they have lemon mixed with their cream cheese which is also genius, rather than making a soggy bagel by squeezing a lemon wedge over it, having the brightness present without the mess of the juice is such a great idea). The burrito was top notch, exactly what you would hope for in flavor/texture/size.
We ordered the cranberry raspberry scone which was delicious and baked beautifully. Our server (Sydney) did a great job- friendly, timely, and attentive.
Sap is a rare find that excels in every area (service, food, coffee,...
Read moreI do enjoy coming here on occasion. I am a steak n egg girl. With this dish comes potatoes (diced hash browns) and a salad. The hash browns and salad are quite enjoyable. Not very many people in the North know how to make over medium eggs. This place is no exception. Also, if you order your steak well done, strenuously clarify well done or it may still arrive Med Well.
I have been to this place 4 times over the course of two years. The third time, our food was delivered the waitress came by not two minutes later to ask how everything was. So far so good. But then we never saw her again. Once the food was paid for and on the way out of the door, when asked how everything was, I had informed the lady that everything was good but the eggs were over easy and not edible for me. I was then informed very loudly that the staff checks on everyone and if there was a complaint I should have reported it then. This drew the eyes of many people. I was horribly shocked and embarrassed. I did not go back for another year. I have learned, scrambled eggs is the best way to go or an omelet. You don't get disappointed, the staff works hard to wait on you, the manager is friendly as she is receiving no complaints. Its a win-win.
It can be noisy and echoey. The pastry bar has been limited the last few times I have been in there. It could be that the business was booming and they sold out. Customer Service - is pretty good. Although it may take a few minutes to get waited on. I do enjoy this place. It is a fun place. It is a...
Read moreI'm the kind of person who likes to visit certain places once a year for special occasions. Today was one such day where I love to visit SAP to have brunch in honor of my favorite Japanese idol's birthday!
I was sat at my table promptly when I checked in for my reservation, and I was already happy it was off to the side a little bit next to the coffee and dessert bar where it was less noisy and a little more private. You'll know in a paragraph or two why.
I ordered the house hummus as a starter and steak and eggs for my main. The food here is always amazing, looks and taste alike. I might've eaten the SAP potatoes and steak a little too quickly and forgot the bacon jam was still there 😂😂😂
In years past, servers would get a little confused and maybe give a look here and there when I order my food and I don't eat it right away, especially when I start arranging the table including my idol's itabag, acrylic stands, and photocards to take pictures with for my social media. It might have been the first time they've encountered an "otaku" like me...but Jaida impressed me and really made my day today by encouraging my hobby and even asked about my itabag and who was featured in it, and I was more than happy to talk about Masaki and Gakugeidai Junes with her a little, and the reason why I'm here to celebrate his birthday. She was very kind and attentive, professional even about it! Five stars for her especially, and I hope your manager sees this, thank you...
