We got the I8 and it's absolutely terrible. We hated it from the start. What's worse is the customer service. When you call within the trial period to let them know you don't want the bed, they trick you by saying they have a lift chamber kit they'll send you but it needs to be installed by technicians. It's literally a 1 inch thick foam that is maybe 20" wide and as long as the bed. It doesn't do anything except eat up your trial period so now your stuck with an expensive air mattress that is extremely uncomfortable. The irony is, I actually got better sleep on an $89 air mattress from kohl's at my cabin, then I ever have on this. Even with self adjust off, the bed would still adjust and wake me up. Now I'm stuck with a big investment that has worsened my back pain. It's your choice to buy one, I'm just telling you and making you aware of their tricks to get you over the trial period. These are simply over priced air mattresses with a little foam on the top. They scam you into keeping it just long enough for them to have no legal obligations after the trial period. Basically when the cheap foam breaks down and the air chambers sloping gets really bad....
Ā Ā Ā Read moreTwo weeks ago my husband and I went into the sleep number store, picked out a bed, paid cash and were told our bed would be delivered five days later. We got a call two hours before it was supposed to be delivered and we're told that the bed could no longer be delivered that day and they could not fit us in for another week. No attempt to compensate for our wait, the time I had to take off of work or for the mattress that we had already brought outside and had sitting in the snow waiting to be hauled away was made. After rescheduling, having to take another half day off of work, sleeping on a couch at 8 months pregnant while waiting for our bed to arrive, we got a call two hours into our four hour window saying THE BED COULD NOT BE DELIVERED AGAIN! We have to wait another five days to get our bed and again, no attempt to right the situation was made.
If we hadn't paid with cash, and I felt like I could wait another two weeks to sleep in a bed, I would tell them to send the bed back. Horrible service, Absolutely horrible. I will never recommend Sleep Number to anyone I know. Go with a Temperpedic... you might get a bed in a...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreIf I could give zero stars I would. Went in today 9/15/2025 at 6 PM and wanted to buy a mattress. I have been having really bad back issues for a long time and have been sleeping in my beanbag over my bed to help mitigate the pain. I walk in and besides "how are you?", the first thing he said was- "queen mattresses start at $1,300". I said I am looking for a king. Preceded to tell me what those start at. I am usually a one stop shopper if I find what I like(I know to some this is bad). With my back issues- I asked what mattresses would benefit me. He said all of them. I said "ok- can you make a recommendation?" Nope, he wanted me to have my partner with me. I get it, but... I said "I am the one with issues and my partner didn't want to be involved in the process as he hates shopping." I let him know this and he said he would not help me. I was expecting to spend at the least 4 grand. Not someone meant to be in sales. My favorite part was when I asked if they provide shipping- "We don't do shipping we deliver." Way to make me feel awful across the board. DO NOT RECOMMEND...
