(Pharmacy) On December 13 at approximately 5:15 pm, I had an appointment for my COVID 19 Vaccine Booster shot (Moderma). The young man that greeted me was pleasant and very kind. I was asked to fill out the paperwork and when I was done, just return it to him.
I was finish and a young lady (with a very heavy Spanish/Russian accent) assisted me with my paperwork. She then asked, if I had my flu shot. I said yes I did. She asked, would I like to get my shingles vaccine. I said, sure why not. A moment later, she asked for my medical card. I gave her my Blue Cross/Blue Shield Rx Card. She stated that I needed a medical card. I told her, that what I gave her was my medical card. She stated, the card you give your doctor. I told her that I do not have to give my doctor of 20 years a "medical card." She then asked a colleague (The nice young man that greeted me) of hers was my card "enough" or was this a "Medical Card." The young man seemed very confused about what she was asking for. He stated, are you talking about medicare? She said forget it. She went back to the computer for another 3 minutes. She proceeded to tell me that I could not get my shingles vaccine because I did not have a medical card.
I was completely confused. I questioned her more about it and she became annoyed and told me that I could get my booster but not the shingles vaccine. I asked, why am I eligible for one and not the other? She never answered. I received my booster and left that Walgreens.
I went to two other Walgreens and asked could I get my shingles vaccine with my Rx card. Both said, of course I could. I told the story to each of the store managers and they were confused as well. Each said that what I had was enough to to get the shingles vaccine.
The point of this long review, This young lady clearly does not know what she is talking about and could put a number of people in jeopardy due to her ignorance. It is imperative that someone from Walgreens arm this young lady with the appropriate information so no one else leaves that Grand Island Walgreens as...
Read moreThis is the absolute worst pharmacy I have ever dealt with in my entire life. My 6 month old son has now been without his prescription for 5 days due to their incompetence. Kristen is the rudest and most condescending person I have ever dealt with in customer service. She refused to help me get this delay sorted out and told me I had to deal with it myself even though this should be HER JOB. She laughed in my face when she heard how upset I was about the whole situation. On another occasion, when I called to ask about his formula prescription that was cancelled without explanation her response was "we don't fill formula here" and hung up the phone, with zero help or suggestions. She also asked me if my son "had another birthday" other than the one I provided and looked at me like I was a complete idiot when I said "no?" It was their own clerical error that caused yet ANOTHER delay in his prescription being filled. She does not ever want to do her job or make any necessary phone calls to resolve any issues because she is just plain LAZY. I will be transferring all of my prescriptions elsewhere and will absolutely never give my business to this pharmacy again. Hopefully they can find someone who treats their customers...
Read moreSEND YOUR SCRIPTS ELSEWHERE!!! Easily the most incompetent pharmacy period. I know they absorbed a LOT of RiteAid clients, however, the leadership staff evidently did not properly prepare for the influx of new clients, and you can easily see the effect it's had on the pharmacy staff, operations, prescription tracking, customer service, and overall general efficiency (it is PAINFULLY obvious).
They have been out of a very important medication of mine for a literal month with no communication, updates, or alternatives (so add useless to the list). Even when your script is ready, it's a coin toss if they'll let you know its ready.
Most of the pharmacy staff are unfriendly (the one girl is ALWAYS miserable no matter how polite or kind you try to be. EVERY TIME), uncommunicative, and seem to never have any idea what's going on.
Its a shame, I've been dealing with this location for a LONG time and its been on a rapid decline the past couple years, but now, its borderline inoperable (if you pay attention to the staff while you're waiting for your medication, you can literally see it as its happening).
I've since switched locations and have not had the same issues, so its not ALL Walgreen's, just...
