We really wanted to love this place. The restaurant was so beautiful and spacious. We absolutely loved the art. The appetizers came out really fast and so did the drinks. For appetizers, we had the rock shrimp, which was very delicious and saucy; and also had the Vietnamese spring rolls, which really lacked in flavor. We asked for a recommendation of red wine and were served white wine - which, was fine, we didn’t want to make a big deal out of it. The food came, I ordered a salmon hand roll and our server, Shaw, brought out an order of salmon roll (which are 2 different things,) she said whether we eat it or not, she wouldn’t charge us, so we left it on the table and only had 2 pieces, it wasn’t that good. The Lady Gaga was the hype pf the night, well, so we were expecting. It was a tempura roll, but it lacked flavor and was fishy. The salmon hand roll was really good, it reminded me of Japanese onigiri, which I love! We also ordered one scallop sashimi, which was very delicious and an octopus sashimi, which I didn’t like the texture from here. The best thing was the mei fung noodles, it was very delicious and flavorful. Before we finished eating, the waiters were trying to take our plates. They even brought a box for our sushi before asking if we were finished eating. There were several desserts options unavailable, which was fine. We kept giving this place the benefit of the doubt and didn’t make an issue with anything. When we received our bill, we were charged for the salmon roll, it was only $6.50, however, we were told we wouldn’t be charged. Shaw (the waiter) blatantly looked at us and said “you ate the sushi so I charged you.” Which was ridiculous. If it wasn’t for my little cousin’s birthday, we would have asked to speak to someone higher up, but we simply said okay, and left an honorable tip because, maybe, just maybe, she was having a bad day & we like to be kind, to everyone. This experience, however, was not the best for us. We would not recommend, nor would we go back.

Read moreI have eaten here several times and recommend it because the food is really good and also I think it's healthy, and the ambiance is nice and actually the tables are well spaced so you are not sitting on top of other patrons, something rare these days. Getting the waiter to come initially may involve a wait, but the food comes quickly once you have ordered. They can modify any dish, and the menu is quite extensive. They now offer a Cajun menu -- what? yes! - but we never tried that. I love the chicken lettuce wraps, the hibachi noodles, the eggplant with garlic sauce and the avocado salad. My family eats all kinds of dishes including sushi, and never objects when I suggest coming here. You can see the menu on their website. The staff all wear masks and are quite friendly. It may take a few minutes to get seated or get your initial order taken, but the service is good and, more important, there is not a long wait for food. It's a very pretty place, parking is easy and it never seems crowded or noisy which is so common in other Asian restaurants. Also, we never find it expensive which, these days, is kind of unusual. I see a lot of people getting take-out, but why bother when it's so easy to eat in? We did that during the worst of Covid, but have not done so in a long time. I didn't give it 5 stars because the location is a schlep to get to, but we are prepared for that, and also you sometimes need to wait for the hostess. But those are...
Read moreCame here for mother's day. Made a reservation on open table early in the morning. Upon arrival hostess didn't have our reservation and told us to sit while they cleared a table, another table came in after us and they were sat without reservation while we waited.
I ordered the hibachi steak and shrimp my parents ordered some signature rolls. The rolls were good but nothing extraordinary, however my steak didn't come out medium rare as I asked and worse it was cold as well as the shrimp. I asked the server to have it warmed up. I swear the food came out with less steak and shrimp and even colder. The waitress dropped the food off and asked me if it was okay before I even got to try it. I didn't want to send food back a 2nd time so I just tried to enjoy it to not spoil mothers day dinner. Eventually, as I had 3 bites left the waitress came back asking me if the food was okay and I said no it was still cold and she went on about maybe the food runners were busy and honestly I could care less. It's mothers day. Worst part was when she said she put it in the microwave.... I ordered hibachi.. last thing was I was still enjoying sushi with my family and the waitress tried taking my plate from me, I felt rushed but told her I'm still enjoying dinner.
Won't...
