Update: 5/5/25 - 312 pm and they are once again out of chicken, at 307pm person cooking chicken used a cleaning detergent, touched the garbage many times and did not change his glove! I will never come back here again!
Original review - I love the fact that there are teenagers that work here. However, you never see leadership here, I don't think there has been a time where I've seen someone in this place that was leading the team. Every time I come here it's always a mess and the workers seem to not have an idea of what to do.
Now, before I continue, I have to say that I am an Executive Chef who runs a business, I also own a restaurant consulting firm, I have a degree in Culinary Arts as well as in business/restaurant management.
I don't eat here, I usually just come to buy my daughter food or I take my daughter here to eat.
I can't get over that there is no proper leadership to lead these young kids who want to work.
The place is very dirty, every time I come here the garbage is over and all over the floor as you exit, the tables are always dirty, the drink station is always empty, sticky, spillage that you can tell was there for hours as it's stuck and dried.
The utensil station is always a mess and dirty as well, which is very unsanitary.
Also, each time I come here they are always out of something, one time they were out of chicken, we had to wait until they grilled chicken which took over 40 minutes, another time they were out of brown rice, and yesterday they were out of guacamole and brown rice! And this was at 6pm. I would understand if it were close to closing time, but at 6pm?
Another thing that is upsetting, there are always so many people working there and yet the place is a mess and dirty! If you look, there are people just there doing absolutely nothing!
Also, the guy who cuts the chicken and beef uses the same cutting board to cut both chicken and beef! Yesterday not only was he doing that, he was using the wrong cutting board to cut the chicken, it's supposed to be a yellow board for chicken, however he was using the red board, same knife to cut both chicken and beef.
I completely blame management! Shame on management for not leading a team to the right path, shame on the owners for not making this specific chipotle that is in a prime location one of the best! You guys are always fully staffed, where is the leadership? Where is the guidance? All you have to do is have a schedule of who does what, times for things to be done! Someone in place that makes sure these things happen! And for whatever reason if management can't be in, have someone who is willing to be a lead to guide the staff to do what's needed!
I completely understand if you're under staffed, but that isn't the case. Every time I go there the place is the same, dirty, a mess but there are always workers just standing and doing nothing.
Shame on you guys for not building your team to be stronger! Shame on you for lack of accountability of leadership!
Do better for your staff and for your customers!

Went at 7:40pm on 3/7/24 and as a pilot who dines out for more than 500 meals per year I can say this was one of the worst experiences. First off after my burrito bowl was three quarters made and I asked for cheese as a topping they were out. I questioned if it was just while they were getting more or for the rest of the night and was told for the rest of the night. Ok, disappointed but I'll do without. Paid at the register and as I was getting my change I noticed another prep station with a burrito with cheese on it. I asked about the cheese and asked if I could get a small cup and the young gentleman flat out said no. I asked why and was told that this station is for online orders only. I asked again why not and he said because people already paid for these orders. I said that I paid also and was told this..."Yes but you had the option of not ordering when you knew there was no cheese. We have a limited supply. It's as simple as that sir." I replied that I wasn't informed prior to my order and I guess I could have just not paid for the bowl that was just about finished being made and thanked him for his attitude. After some more lip service I told him don't worry about it that maybe I'll just take it up with the manager. Now that's not why it's a 1 Star and Avoid rating, that's just part of it. The second part is that this was the dirtiest, worst run establishment I've ever been in. Absolutely filthy. Every single table a disgusting mess. Trash overflowing from the receptacles. Food, grime, and trash all over the floors. I took a video I will try to post. 20 minutes later I was in the bathroom for an hour. I won't talk to the manager about the young, thin, tall, black male that gave me attitude because I believe any organization that is run like this and looks like this needs to fire its management. The owner of this place should be embarrassed. The health department will be getting a call from me. Probably needs to be shut down. Read moreThe service is just the worst. Unfriendly. Unengaging. No personality. They took no care into how they place the ingredients into my burrito and it was a sloppy mess wet all around the outside and falling apart. It was a very clean place though and the ingredients of course tasted good, which is the only reason why I gave it another star.
*Update today. The young, short girl with dark hair at the counter was terrible this evening. She asked all the questions is but acted annoyed that she had to do her job at all. No, Hello! How can I help you?" No smile. No thank you at the end. I had to ask her several questions over again because she couldn't hear me the first time, then when she answered, she raised her voice in a mean tone. She also gave me the spicy chicken when I specifically said not the spicy one.
The saving grace was the guy at the checkout who had a great personality that was upbeat, friendly, acted with urgency and was considerate. I hope this guy is a manager. He deserves it! He's the reason for 1 star on service. Unfortunately you can't do zero to see it's a +1
I would've gone up a star, but due to the fact that they still have terrible customer service when you come in after my 1 year ago post above, I'm keeping it at two stars. Guess I'll try next year if...
