My husband and I went to Ollie’s looking for a carpet for our babies nursery. We found one we liked . My husband then carried a 12ft rug all the way from the back of the store to the registers where he placed it on the other side of where they were because of how big it was and he didn’t want to knock down any displays . We addressed this to the cashier and she was extremely rude immediately had an attitude and said “why can’t you just carry it over here “ that’s when my husband let her know he didn’t want to ruin their displays trying to bring the 12ft carpet through a small area . She said nastily “well I need the barcode “ that’s when I stated is this the barcode number you need ? She completely ignored me and continued to make comments to my husband about bringing the carpet to her . I asked her if she had someone who could help him carry it if she absolutely needed it by her since I’m 5 days away from giving birth she then rudely said “I’ll just go over and do it myself since your husband dosent want to carry it over here “ . I stated that wasn’t the case and that he had already carried it all the way through the store . My husband then asked for a manager, this manager was also not helpful . She told us she needed the barcode where again I stated I offered to give it to the cashier and she ignored me . The manager had nothing else to say and didn’t even apologize for the cashiers behavior or how incredibly rude they were . Worst customer service I’ve ever...
Read moreThe store has wonderful products at a great price. But, the overall staff and attitudes are not so great. There is no urgency to get their customers out of a long line, the staff does not have knowledge about their products/sales floor (even the lady told just told me “I don’t know , you have to look yourself”), and they do not have a welcoming or nice attitude at all. I have never written a review, but today I felt the need to express my opinion after going to two different Ollies today. I have worked in retail for almost six years and I really feel like Oliies management can make critical changes that can allow them to be more successful and customer friendly. Read moreI recently visited Ollies with my grandmother and unfortunately had a very disappointing experience. When my grandmother politely asked the cashier a simple question, he responded in a rude and dismissive manner. I brought this concern to the manager, but instead of addressing the situation professionally, he brushed it off and offered no resolution. This lack of customer service and respect is unacceptable.
