Dollar General — Local services in Town of Haverstraw

The Ghetto Walmart in every way, the best time to buy toys is right now , stock up for holidays from 11/23 to 11/25 buy 2 toys and get one free. Some it's a certain percentage off etc. To be completely honest though the place here next to Wendy's and Pizza Hut on 9w in Haverstraw the Space inside the store is not utilized appropriately, aisles are very tight, and things are overpriced in some areas . There's nothing here for a dollar, but a balloon is 1.25. It's more like a ghetto Walmart , without the clothes, (which at one time they did have , but they no longer carry clothes / childrens clothing. I used to get pretty decent clothes for my daughter and some bed / house clothes for my wife here ( sweats etc..) but no longer. One more thing, horrible staff has been a consistent revolving door at this place for at least the last 6 years since I moved back to Rockland/ Haverstraw where I grew up. I am 45 years old and have seen the best and the worst of life all over the world. This store needs better management in every way staff, better inventory management, space management, They really could have a great store if they had the right team. It's a location that gets consistent traffic. Right on 9w next to pizza hut , Wendy, taco bell, post office, auto zone , and even a kung Fu martial arts location in this strip mall type . And groceries...

Worse retail store in west haverstraw the so call store manager " kim" lacks all the base requirements of beem a store manager she is rude and have no form of customer service. I went in to buy some sun glasses today 02/22/2020 @ 3:58pm pick up a car charger then choose to leave the car charger and i was told that i have to put back the merchandise since i dont want it if she had ask nicely it wouldn't have been an issue but she was very rude . I am a retail training store manager and i dont treat my customer like this. This store looks like a local dump and this manager only pushing paying customers aways with her lack if basic customer...

Before I used to buy there but today I lived an embarrassing experience in front of many people a short and blonde lady didn't want to sell me 3 cans of beer I was carrying my ID xk I'm a tourist I took out only my passport was so pregnant tete that 2 people from there intervened it was a terrible experience she was extremely rude racist and still a Dominican lady wanted to intervene knowing that I was right the lady was terrible I never recommend this store terrible service the lady is blonde short and I think she is Puerto Rican...
