Rainy rainy day
Harley-Davidson demo day. Which I didn't even know it was cuz I didn't really come to look at the Harley's I was here to see royal enfield.
What I did not know is that the two dealers even though the buildings look separate from the outside or one big giant inside and so beautifully done.
What a wonderful showroom
Not disappointed even in the very least.
I walked around and I was free to peruse the bikes
When I was ready I asked for some assistance and unbeknownst to me it was the owner Larry
I asked if I could sit on some bikes and he said sure he didn't get anyone else he personally took me around and sat on everybody that I wanted to sit on which was quite a few.
But not only that he gave me solid feedback on how I looked on the bike and how it fit me ergonomically. Which is extremely important. Now I know how it fits me or economically when I'm sitting on a bike I just know it you can feel it like putting on shoes that you know fit you so well. As long as you're honest
To hear the feedback from someone else who knows motorcycles through and through was really nice it just confirmed what I knew which bikes fit me.
No pressure just a real nice conversation with a gentleman that absolutely loves loves loves loves loves loves loves loves motorcycles.
It could not have been a better experience than I did not even buy anything at all whatsoever.
If I'm going to it's going to be from this place.
He asked me for my contacts so I could be on the mailing list so I could do a demo day which I'm definitely going to do.
It felt more like a place you just wanted to be a part of the place trying to sell you something like and not let you leave without buying something which most dealers feel like.
I really loved it
Just go in and ask to sit on some bikes if you really want to know what fits you this is the place for that for sure 100%.
You'll thank me. If you're just getting into writing you got to go here if you're a veteran and have really been annoyed by dealers which I can see. Go here as well.
Bravo Larry Lover of bikes and owner of a wonderful dealership...
Read moreI bought a 2017 Superlow 1200T in December 2021 for around $10k, intending to use it as my daily commuter. Initially, the bike seemed to be in good condition, but I quickly encountered a number of issues, starting with the bike’s inability to start in temperatures below 40°F. Despite several visits to the dealership’s service department, they couldn’t diagnose the problem, which I had to work around by using space heaters and parking in warmer garages.
Over the course of a year and a half, I had the bike in the shop 5-6 times for various minor issues, including routine maintenance. Each visit was costly, with regular service fees reaching $500 or more. To make matters worse, the maintenance package I was sold when I purchased the bike was essentially useless and covered almost nothing. Anytime I inquired about it, the service reps acted like I was being unreasonable for asking.
On top of that, the service staff were often unprofessional, with one mechanic being particularly rude. After I traveled via public transportation to pick up my bike after they said it was ready, I was told to come back the next day. Only after pushing did they agree to release the bike, and the mechanic handed it over in a rough, careless manner, shoving the keys into my chest.
The final issue occurred when I had a flat tire that partially damaged the rim. The new service manager told me they didn’t do rim repairs and essentially declared the bike totaled. I found this absurd, as I had owned the bike for only a year and a half and still owed money on it. After getting mixed opinions from other shops, I came to the conclusion that the dealership was more interested in making money than providing reliable service.
If you're considering this dealership, I highly recommend being ruthless in negotiations and taking your bike to an independent mechanic for maintenance. My experience with them left me with the strong impression that their service department lacks both the expertise and professionalism to handle long-term...
Read moreThank you for repairing my bike! Spread the word, Bring your bike to Bellmore! I sent this letter to Harley Davidson.
I am the owner of a 2000 ultra classic Harley Davidson motorcycle. I went to Lake George, like I do every year. I went to McDermott Harley. I asked them if they can do an oil change, oil filter, and an inspection. They informed me, they could only do an inspection, they're not going to be working on motorcycles younger than 2005. This was a Corporate decision, because of the lack of parts associated with any repair, and stocking cost. So I needed a new front tire, you won't work on my bike? What? Who and why was that decision made? So do you think you are going to entice new riders to the sport by making that decision? Young people don't have the money to buy a new bike, they can only afford a used bike. Seriously, the only thing keeping you afloat is your clothing line! Your Live wire line was a bust! your totally screwing up on every decision you make! Here's my idea (your decisions have resulted in an almost total destruction of a Corporate company synonymous with the USA) Change your strategy, and save yourself. Forget making New bikes. Yes, I said it! Have your dealerships sell used bikes, and repair all Harley bikes. You can get parts for any old Harley, in addition, to tell people you have an old bike, that is in pristine condition, you’ll be the envy of the neighborhood, you’ll keep your sales people, mechanics, and the dealer owners will have a partner who's willing to retool the corporation that helped...
