Merrick Wines & Liquors — Local services in Town of Hempstead

I don't live in Merrick, but my friend and I were in the area to eat, and decided to stop in to buy lotto. As my friend played her numbers, I checked out the selection and decided to buy a bottle of Grand Marnier and Molly's Irish cream. After noticing the price of the Cognac, I stated that I could get this cheaper elsewhere, and when the gentleman behind the register (presumably the owner?) heard that, he suggested a possible discount. After a few moments, he gave me $4 off the price, which was very generous of him, considering we weren't regular customers. As we were cashing out, we decided to try a flavored Ciroc vodka. He gave us his informed critique of the flavors he had, and we picked the apple flavor. After a few more minutes of light hearted discussions about winning the lottery, we made our purchase, wished him luck with the store, and left there being VERY pleased with our experience. I have my preferred liquor store near my home, but if I decide to go somewhere else, Merrick Wines & Liqours is where I'll be!
