I came here for a nice skin fade. I explicitly told Neighborhood Barber Shop that I have a large lump on the right side of my head due to an accident. I was told they could work around it and do a nice design. Jonny tried to puncture/pop the lump as he had thought it was a huge pimple. It was bleeding and he kept cutting it as he was vaping in my face. He proceeded to take unsolicited photographs of my haircut and my lump. I could hear him and his coworker pals laughing behind me. The haircut looked awful, and he shaved my beard when I told him not to. He also didn't do the correct design on my head. I will have to go to the doctor for my lump because it's infected now. This place was amazing with my 6 year old autistic son! I highly recommend! They were very accommodating with my son‘s sensory issues. They had plenty of chocolate and lollipops to help with the tears! The barber even let my son watch sonic on his phone. He let my son stand up during the haircut and gave him plenty of breaks. I kept apologizing because my son was crying. I felt bad for the other customer getting his haircut. The barber told me not to apologize and said that this is a community salon and that they do not discriminate. At the end of the haircut, my son was combing his own hair smiling, saying “this is fun.” We will definitely be coming back here. All the employees are so kind and understanding. First time here as me and my son were looking for a new barber. Stumbled upon this place because of the high reviews and the social media page. Our barber was Reuben and let me tell you! The place is clean and Reuben was amazing. He was so accommodating especially for my son. His haircuts are straight fire!!! loved the fade he gave me son and gave me the best low taper ever!
