First time here, never really notice this place until they put the tables outside. Very pleasant server and she took care of us right away. We order "Lomo de Skirt Steak ($18.95)" and "Entraña Y dos Acompañantes ($22.95)". My wife also order an egg over side easy for her food and 2 coronas. The food took 15 mins which was not bad at all.
When the food arrived they had forgotten her egg, which we reminded her about and she said it be right out. That took a few mins for them to make it I suppose. Her food the Lomo de Skirt Steak didn't have much meat but more of the fat content of the steak. My plate (Entraña) was good over all but a bit small from what I'm used too. Never the less the food was decent but the waitress didn't check up on us and I couldn't order another corona.
Once we finished we order the bill and they had changed the prices from the menú! I asked to see the menú and photograph the receipt with the menú to write a review. The manager came out and explain they had to adjust the prices because of Covid19, which is understanding but not to raiLomo Saltadosing without stating it in the menú or letting you know. He then brought a paper menú and argue they forgot to give out the new menú with updated prices.
"Entraña Y dos Acompañantes ($22.95) to $31.95" "Lomo de Skirt Steak ($18.95) to $24.95"
The manager ended correcting the prices but also change the prices of the drinks (2 coronas) from $7.98 to $9.98, which at this point I just wanted to leave. He tried to explain his Steak was the best around not even Manhattan serve Steak that good. I guess his never been to Noches de Colombia, which has better steak and better serves.
This will be the first and last time we will be eating here. Not to mention we walked by 30 mins later and they were still giving out the outdated menu with prices. I believe most people won't caught on and will just pay. BE CAREFUL AND ASK IF THOSE ARE THE...
Read moreYesterday, Tuesday the 22nd, I went out to eat with my son to what I thought would be wonderful Peruvian cuisine experience for lunch. We were greeted immediately and given water. However, nobody came back to our table for fifteen minutes, and as I waved my hand frantically to get our waitresses attention, I looked and saw she had been spending 15 minutes making two drinks for the only other table at the restaurant, and then continued to talk to the manager at the bar until I called out for her. After the food arrived, we questioned why the menu said the food had scallops, yet we were given one tiny scallop shell with almost no meat on it. We complained to our waitress who said she would make a note of it and did nothing else. We were never approached again until the bill. As we paid the meal and the automatic gratuity for this service, I told the manager about how I would leave a review based on my experience. Instead of being professional about it, the manager got upset and confronted me, saying he doesnt like threats. The manager, who had spent the entire time at the bar with his laptop, talking to the waitress, didnt offer any apologies or anything of the slightest to make up for the giant bed of rice and empty seafood shells (3/4 mussels had no meat). I would have let this all go if the manager was nicer about it, but instead of trying to understand ,he said thats how the dish is and didnt back off until my son, who has worked almost a decade in the food service industry, felt uncomfortable and had to explain how nothing was done about our previous complaints the entire time we were actually seated. It wasnt until then that the manager backed off, but we were left with the most unprofessional experience at any restaurant in Huntington. Would...
Read moreBeen a frequent customer at brasas peru for a while now. There food is great and won't discredit them that. But with that being said, I have noticed an inconsistency on the service. About 2 weeks ago I had ordered food for pick up, and when I picked it up something told me to check my order. When I checked they had gave me the wrong items and I expressed to the servers that I was missing an order and they had gave me an additional order of fries. One of the servers decided to go through my bag to make sure I wasn't lying. After going through my bag she realized I was being honest and said yeah he is missing an order and wasn't apologetic. Tonight I had decided to order food from brasas Peru and once again the server messed up on my order. I had ordered a chaufa rice with steak/chicken and paid 5 additional dollars for the chicken. When she started packing my food she realized my order wasn't correct. She went back and forth with the chef and the chef said my order was correct. Instead of verifying she bagged my order and said everything is ready. When I got home my order was wrong, I called them and explained to the server that she is wrong for giving me the wrong order, after she knew it wasn't correct. She passed me to the owner and he called me a liar and told me they verified that my order was correct. After him calling me a liar I lost it!! He was there not paying attention to his workers going back and forth about my order and was too busy watching friends and on his phone. I told him to forget about it, that he had lost a client and before he let me finish he hung up on me. Don't recommend any one to go there. With customer service like this , this business is...
