I wanted to treat my mother-in-law to a massage yesterday and found this business online. I called to verify pricing beforehand and was told that the 60min full body massage cost $50. I asked 3 the person employee on the phone (Michelle) to verify the cost 3 times, and each time she said $50. When we arrived, we tried to pay for the massage upfront with credit card (cc) but was told to pay after said massage. In addition, we were notified that the cc payment would have an additional 3% fee associated with it. As such, while my mother-in-law was receiving her massage, I went to the bank to withdraw $60 cash. Indeed, this should have covered the $50 massage plus a 20% tip. To my shock, when paying for the massage the woman at the desk said the massage was $60. I handed her the cash and turned to walk out. "Arent you going to tip the masseuse?" she asks loudly. There are about 5 other patrons waiting, and my mother-in-law was still standing near so they could all clearly hear this distasteful question. At this point I am livid/disgusted at the employees classless approach to business. However, I certainly was not going to argue about the sudden $10 increase nor the demand for an additional tip since the massage was meant to be a treat and I didnt not want to embarrass my mother-in-law. We paid the additional tip and left. In short, this experience was entirely offputting and I would absolutely not patronize this business...
Read moreDeceitful practice - beware. They went until you are undressed, on the table, about 5 minutes into the massage before they ask you to smell an oil and ask "if you like." After you say yes, they say okay "$10 more." SMH that is so tacky and unprofessional to try to upsell you a service like that during the massage. I declined, but my friend could not understand the woman because they are literally whispering in your ears, said yes she wants the oil, but she thought of course I want oil along with my massage. Not realizing they were upselling her the lavender oil. They ended up removing the charge when we explained the lack of communication, but it left a terrible impression.
Other than the deceitful practice, they was by far the worst massage I've ever gotten. Jenny was not consistent with the level of pressure applied, she was not consistent with the massages. One arm/leg/shoulder would get a certain massage and the other side would be different, or she would just flat out not massage the other side. Frustrating! Jenny gave the most lackluster foot massage ever. She was massaging as if she was zoned out and just rubbing aimlessly. No technique & no consistency.
I was very disappointed about the massage especially given the high reviews and felt like I wasted my money taking myself and best friend for massages for her birthday.
Oh and they gypped you 5 minutes for a 60...
Read moreHad a Groupon and booked an appointment for a date night when we got there they said they could not accommodate us because they overbooked. And that their system doesn’t always allow them to see in time. So then why can you pick a slot when making an appointment? I suggested, they shouldn’t use Groupon if that’s the case. We drove over 30 minutes to get there just to be told there was nothing they could do to get us in. We also had a 45 minute salt cave. The place closes at 9 and they said the only thing they could possibly do was get us in at 8:30. Which that didn’t happen. And that’s not 45mins. We end up, leaving just to be called back by them to find out that they messed up the times of our future appointment as well. We just left from telling them the time and we’re supposed to be verified and confirmed and yet still they couldn’t get it right. I like the business but Franklin square location I would never go back or recommend.! The front desk lady was not the...
