Since the start of the pandemic approximately one and a half years I have been going to Aldi and lidl to try to save money on my weekly groceries. What I have found is that what one store doesn't have (product) the other might have. The Bayshore location is a fairly busy location lots of Aldi employees stocking the aisles with products. Most aisles are very neat well stocked and the price(s) is conspicuous. There is always one aisle, which has products (Seasonal) which are a mess but I guess that is to be expected. Overall, less meat products than it's rival Lidl but clean and orderly. Two register lines moved rather quickly and the cashier's were polite and did their jobs well. The one thing that I don't like and I've seen this numerous times,. customers children laying on or sitting on a long (loading) shelf (approx 20 feet long). The long (loading) shelf is to help customers organize their groceries when they are about to leave the store not to have unattended children laying on sitting or standing on this. Very unsanitary to say the least.. ...
Read moreGood shopping experience. Need a quarter to dispense the shopping cart. The quarter stays in the cart. The carts are quite large and often get in the way of other shoppers.
There are shelves for some items. Many carton/box style displays. Prices are low for some items, average for others. Prices of what I bought: Avocado 0.69 each Cucumber 0.55 each Blueberry 1.49 pint Lettuce 1.59 each Smoked Turkey 2.49 container Broccoli Crowns 1.69 package
They have food and house items. There are unique items and a good variety overall.
You put your items on the belt, the cashier will scan them and put them in the cart of the person who left their cart before you. The cart you used will be used to place the items of the person behind you in line. There is a bagging section. You have to pay for bags if you do not have your own. I just took my cart to my car.
Someone gave me a quarter to use my cart before I could put it back myself.
All the food was fresh and...
Read moreI went early at a time where there would not be a lot of people so I could get in and out. They moved everything again and there is no rhyme or reason to the location of things. Finding help is almost non existent and when you did find an employee he really didn't want to help or his attitude reflected that. Only one line open and I don't get it as people have better things to do than to stand on a line. Oh and did I forget to mention I came all the way here to get the 1lb ground turkey for my dog and they didn't have it so I ended up ordering on Instacart and they delivered it. That makes no sense. In addition no matter what time you go there will always only be one or two cashier's open and the lines are down the aisles. I have decided there is nothing that Aldi's sell that I want bad enough to spend 20 or 30 minutes on a line. They need to get with the program and install some self check outs like all the...
