This is the 3rd KPOT location I've been to, and they've all been consistent. Some dishes vary by location, and quality of the food is okay/decent, but overall it's very good for the price.
Banchan / side dishes: They have a good selection of banchan and some hot/fried foods. I didn't try any, but when I went the hot foods were fries, spring rolls, chicken wings, sesame balls, and chowmein. The banchan were bean sprouts, kimchi, seaweed salad, sliced pickled radish, and some seafood salad mix. The kimchi isn't the greatest, but it wasn't bad. It could've been spicier, but I appreciated how it wasn't overly sweet like it was at the other 2 locations I visited.
The BBQ food: We tried the chicken bulgogi, garlic shrimp, KPOT steak, garlic swai fish, king prawns. KPOT steak: What's nice about the KPOT steak at this location is that it comes with butter and rosemary, which the other locations I've been to did not have. Garlic swai fish: Good, but pretty salty. The flavor was a lot stronger than I expected. I could only eat half a piece of fish. This cooked fairly quickly and nicely though. Garlic shrimp: Not bad. One order only came with ~6 pieces. It wasn't too salty (like how the garlic swai fish was), and the garlic flavor wasn't overpowering. Chicken bulgogi: Good -- the marinade wasn't too salty or sweet.
Misc: The electronic ordering system is convenient, and the grills here for KBBQ are nice -- they cook things pretty quickly and evenly when set on medium heat, and the food doesn't really stick to the grill (unlike how it does at another location I've visited). I also like that each table has its own olive oil spray to spray the grill.
Service: Service is great. Our server Naeem was super friendly and very open to giving recommendations, especially to...
Read moreI've been here twice so far with my fiance and both times have been great !
Our server 💖Daya💖 was amazing! She would regularly check up on us and ask how everything is . She also gave great drink recommendations that I really enjoyed . Sense of humor is amazing also . They did have a bit of an emergency when I went but she reassured us the affected person was taken care of .I would go back just for her and how sweet she is.
The food quality is also amazing. My new favorite is the pork cheek . The texture is amazing. The tablet makes for easy ordering. Food comes out in less than 10 minutes everytime. So I wouldn't recommend ordering another huge batch of food if you're still cooking because you will run out of table space . Finish then order again because there isn't much of a wait time. The mushroom soup broth is my new favorite. The other bbq and hot pot restaruant on mainstreet in bayshore soup doesn't taste like anything. So this will be my new regular local spot. I do visit kbbq restaurants across all of New York as a hobby and this one is decent for the area . I do wish they had more ready to eat options available but that's ok.
I did notice there was a bit of smoke in the air . I assumed it was because the people around me couldn't cook and kept burning thier food . But staff let us know they are still fixing thier venting system which would explain it . Please ask the staff to oil your grill to help food from sticking while cooking ! It helps a great deal .

Read moreWe were craving pork belly and came across this place on Google. Initially, we were super excited to try it out, but unfortunately, our excitement quickly turned into disappointment.
We stopped by to pick up a to-go order between 7:00 and 7:10 PM on 4/4. I sent my two daughters (ages 18 and 9) inside while I waited in the car. At the counter were three women. My daughters were asked if they had received a text message for the order, which they didn’t have since I sent them in quick to pickup.
Instead of offering a different option to locate the order or ask for their info, the women were rude in their approach and seemed bothered or irritated. One of them even rolled her eyes at my daughters, which really upset them. They returned to the car visibly uncomfortable. It was especially disheartening for my older daughter, who is a foreign exchange student from Korea, this was not the interaction I hoped she’d have.
As for the food, it was okay for the price. The pickled radish was the best part of the meal. The pork belly was thinly sliced, not crisp and served on a piece of lettuce that appeared wilted. Overall, everything else was just decent.
I truly hope that management realizes that good service is more than just delivering food, it’s about hospitality, professionalism, and treating every customer with kindness. Based on this experience, it’s unlikely we’ll...
