Bunger Sayville — Local services in Town of Islip

I was looking to get an entire women's snowboard setup and was having a hard time finding any sort of selection anywhere else. We called to see what they had and Sam spent 15 minutes going through their inventory with us. Because of Sam's helpfulness, we felt motivated to take the 1+ hr drive out from Brooklyn. We got to the shop and noted how cute and funky it is on the outside. You walk in the door and are greeted with an explosion of colorful inventory for all seasons-swim, surf, skate, snowboard and tons of lifestyle stuff! We got to the snowboard area and were right away helped by Max, who guided us through deciding on a snowboard, bindings, and boots. Because I was buying all of the above plus pants and socks, I made a point to say I was budget conscious. No problem at all- they found me tons of great options that were super affordable. Aside from the awesome inventory and helpfulness, everyone we talked to was super nice and laid back. I cannot recommend this...

I have always loved this shop and for good reason. Their staff is so helpful even if they’re not making a cent off you!

I went in inquiring about the possibility of replacing the wheels/bearings on my burton wheelie gig snowboard bag with skateboard wheels/bearings because mine seized up on my last trip to tahoe and i had to carry that BEAST thru the airports... not fun. The guy i asked, dropped what he was doing, pulled one off the shelf and made sure my theory would work as intended. This saved me from purchasing another $150+ bag before my trip to colorado next week. Any other shop would have looked at me like i had six heads and walked me right over to their selection of snowboard bags with $$$ in their eyes... not these guys tho.

Btw, the skateboard wheels work great!!...

I went to the store in need of new fins for my surfboard, and I was not totally sure of the type of fins I needed. I also did not have my board with me so it was difficult to determine what would be compatible with my set up.

The team at Bunger Sayville worked with me to figure out exactly what I needed and were incredibly nice and accommodating the whole way through. They were able to ask the right questions and figured out exactly what I needed. I left the store with fins that were compatible with my board, and learned a few things too.
