This was the first and last time I will ever shop at this particular Burlington location. The actual store was a complete chaos. I was looking for baby items and things were thrown everywhere on the floor in the aisles. It was a total mess in there, I could not believe how messy this store was. Then I moved to the men's section looking for a sweater and that was so messy and unorganized. Then I get to pay and the cashier was so nasty and rude. First she didn't even greet me, second she did not bag my things, and told me I had to put the things facing her with the hangers facing towards her. I spent almost $300 in total and this cashier just made the whole experience very unpleasant. If you don't like your job then don't work in retail. I rather travel farther away then come to this location because of the nasty experience I had. Also I noticed when I got home she failed to remove the security tag from one of the items I purchased, I am surprised the alarm didn't go off as I was leaving the store. But she was in such a rush to get me out the store. And really 2 cashiers? At first only 1 was open and then a line started forming and they opened the...
Read moreThe store is not handicap accessible and does not cater to us! I have a dropfoot which means I can walk around but require a cane for assistance and it takes effort.
At the Burlington in Islandia, the merchandise is on the floor from customers grabbing at it, which is fine, I get it- but the associates do not pick it up and put it back on the hangers or shelves- then when I walk into the isles I have to side- step it or I'll trip and fall, i end up picking it up myself...not good, its like a booby-trap..
Also, the carts cannot go out into parking lot when done shopping which limits me to 1 bag of light items, I cannot buy large items or heavier things because I would need to carry that bag out along while walking with my cane..not good!
I go out to stores to walk around and get my exercise while holding on to the cart and this store makes it more difficult for me to buy what I want because of not being able to bring the cart out! Employees are walking around and talking to each other instead of doing their job.
Big issue for handicapped people! NOT handicap...
Read more2 Security guards at the front of the store stopping each individual as they walk in “to ensure the quality of my shopping experience”?? Are you kidding? It’s 3:30 in the afternoon on a Friday and there are more employees in this store than customers. On top of that, this brand new store was trashed. No thanks! I won’t be back. Good luck! Thanks for your response. The presence of security wasn't the concern - lots of stores have security guards - it was the use of security guards to barricade the entrance. It was an uncomfortable situation. I'm not sure why management felt a need to have security perform this task, but as the customer it felt confrontational and slightly aggressive. If it were just a messy store, I might've just given it another month or two and tried again. Stopping every person at the door and literally blocking them was on a...
