Horrible customer service. Before going to the store, I searched online to see if they had a certain smoke detector in stock. They did and I could order it and the pick up in store today option was available. I wasn't sure if it would be available for pick up right away or a few hours later so I went to the store to get it instead of buying it online first. Big mistake. The price at the store was $9 higher than what was shown on the website. I double checked the model number and everything matched except for the price. I picked up 2 and brought it to the register to check the price. I mentioned the price shown on the website even showed it to him on my phone. He clearly had no idea what he was doing so he flipped the switch to ask for a manager's help. As soon as she walked over, he said the price was different from what was shown online and in a frustrated voice, she said the price is going to be cheaper online and I'd have to order it online and also said something about it being the third time the question was asked today and immediately proceeded to walk away without talking to me. The cashier looked at me like there was nothing he could do so I asked if I could price match it or something. He said no (I looked it up online and they COULD'VE price matched it). Then I confirmed with him that to get the price shown online, I'd have to order it online, click "free pickup today," then come back later in the day to pick it up and he said yes. So I asked how long it would take for them to get it ready and he said he didn't know. Then he proceeded to ask me if I wanted to buy it now anyway. The smoke detector was $25 on the website and $34 in store. I wanted 2 so that would've been an $18 difference. I can almost buy a third smoke detector with that price difference. NO, I DO NOT WANT TO BUY IT RIGHT NOW ANYWAY. I bought it on amazon for $1 more per detector and it's shipped to...

2021- Waiting to get helped at an electronics case for about 30 minutes is not what I want out of my trip. This Walmart is VERY POORLY Managed. The employees are left out to dry and other departments won't help if asked, they will point in the direction of the clearly swamped employee and say they have to help you....since when. If you work here...you can help. Maybe better train your staff? Also, how about order restock on a regular basis. This walmart is in a wealthier area than the one in Commack, yet this Walmart never has filled stocked shelves. Listen, as someone with alot of Service experience, I can tell you that this Walmart would benefit from New Managment. 2025 - 4 years later!! Ordered tires online, the day of delivery I called the auto care department to check on my order, no answer. I called all morning, gave up and decided to call the customer care desk. They would pick up the phone and immediately hang up on me. I called HR, No answer. Called electronics, pharmacy, not a single department answered. I did this from 8 am until 1pm. I even called their corprate office and they told me they couldnt help me, all they could do was give me the same numbers I've been trying to call all morning. I finally looked at the directory and called the vision department, the only one I hadn't called yet. Hearing that ladies voice was amazing! Wish I got her name. She was able to help me get on the phone with a manager (Ryan) who helped me check on my order, Which had been ready since the morning, yet I recieved no phone call, no status update online, nothing. This store STILL needs help, maybe more so now, considering their employees aren't answering your store phones (Doing their jobs) and corprate employees can do nothing about it? Sad. Shout out to Ryan and the Vision center employee who took my call at 1pm on...
Read moreWhile shopping at Walmart recently I started to not feel so well. I was there with just myself and my 10-year-old and I have cancer and a lung disease as well as a lot of other health problems stemming from that. My cell phone was dead and I could not call my spouse to come and help and I was somewhat embarrassed so I didn't want to do that anyways. I kept going and trying my hardest but finally I made it over to the electronics department to ask if I could use the telephone to call my spouse to ask him to please come and get me because I wasn't feeling good. The gentleman that was there I had a hard time figuring out how to call an outside line especially given that our cell phone numbers were not local area codes. Instead of calling someone and making me have to re-explain the story all over again he whipped out his own cell phone gave it to me to call he then got me a stool so I could sit and wait he had conversation with me offered if there was anything else he could do and he plugged my phone into charge. When my spouse finally made it to Walmart he had no clue where I was and called back the number I had called from the Walmart associate immediately handed me the phone and said I think this is for you. All in all the kindness that this man exhibited was above and beyond I was embarrassed and nervous of how I would be treated but he didn't skip a beat he was kind and caring and he didn't make me feel at all awkward or out of place he helped me and I can't thank...
