Go West! — Local services in Town of Islip

My family has been in the horse world for a long, long time. This store brings back memories and has excellent boots, and apparel. Go West is better then any store I have been in for a very long time. Excellent staff and very knowledgeable. Everyone is very friendly and myself and my son have purchased many boots and hats from here. I recommend everyone to stop in here, I guarantee you will buy something and go back many times. Cannot say enough about this store and their staff. If they do not have your size they are willing to order anything your want, if they can. GREAT atmosphere, relaxing and friendly. This is one of the few, if not the only, place on Long Island for Western boots and apparel. This long time customer that has purchased boots, hats, jeans, accessories and even a bunch of Justin socks (that don't wear out!). Just went back the other day and scored another pair of boots at their sale. Ellen, the owner, has a very interesting variety of quality merchandise. Go East to go West? It took two visits for me to pull the trigger on a leather vest/shirt, when on the second visit (today 8/8/25) Lisa very quickly solved my problem with a fairly plain black leather vest, and a snap on white shirt,,,,,and,,,,,voila! problem solved. It looks great! Now understand that I needed a vest (wasnt thinking western) and when I explained the situation.....lisa went to work immediately. I have to add, that if i were in the market for a western hat and boots...... this IS clealy the place to go.
