Iâve come to this Marshallâs for years. So Iâm gonna start off by saving Iâve never had something handled this way. Iâm not sure a regular customer would understand how deep this goes. But Iâm a supervisor at a retail establishment so I know how some of these things work. I came in not trying to spend too much, and I put too many items in my cart. (I will take responsibility for that). Other than that the cashier handled this situation horribly. I saw the total and asked if I could remove an item. She responds with âNo, you canât void items. You have to pay the total and return it.â This threw me off a bit and I asked again, hoping sheâd offer another option. She stood strong in her response. So knowing customer service I left it alone and paid the total. Told her to forget it, and left. I then drove to the Marshalls in Commack, to return my items. I then asked the cashier there what their void policy is. She gave me the run down of it. While IT IS possible, they are cautioned against it due to corporate. BUT there is an option to cancel the transaction, and re-ring it. I also bought higher priced items. So I had fewer items in the cart. Itâs not like I bought $200 in items that were all $3.99. I had about 15 items. Totaling to $188. I wouldâve apologized if she told me she had to re-ring it and sympathized with her. But she hadn't given me that solution. What bothers me the most is the fact that I mightâve not had that type of money in my account. Yes, while it is my responsibility to make sure whatâs in my cart, if I didnât have the money. Iâd go negative and then also receive an overdraft fee due to funds not being available. (Because we all know returns take 2/3 business days) Iâm just very disappointed with the cashiers manners overall. This was March 23rd, 2023. I was rung up at 5:19pm and it was the cashier who was ringing at...
Read moreWitness horrible behavior with one of the cashiers a week ago. She was in the cashier closer by the exit/entrance while I was getting my stuff checked by her a customer was in line with a baby crying, there was a very long line so she decided to react in a very unprofessional way right in front of me and my kids, she started saying to the other guy cashier next to her âomg go get I cant effing stand that baby cryingâ â just tell her to come to the register right nowâ the cashier next to her could notice my reaction he didnât know what to do but kept going and did what she told him to do. I was honestly so furious but didnât say anything cause I was with my kids and know it wasnât going to be anything pretty. Iâm assuming she is the manager or supervisor not sure but from the way she was demanded the cashier guy next to her I thought she is. I hope whoever is in charge of this store notice this and do something about it, that was a really disgusting behavior not just infront of a customer...
Read moreNot coming back to this store! This is not the first time that an itemâs price is marked wrong/incorrectly by them!â Once at the register, turns out to be more $ and they change the tag to another tag saying it was marked with the price I found it with by error! They never honor their mistakes in prices, and at this point they have lost yet another customer! The cashiers name today was Letty. She could care less and changed the price right in my face. I didnât buy the item this time. I strongly suggest the store takes care of this issue. Whoever is in charge of pricing the items, perhaps needs...
