I will never order from this place nor will I use Teleflora in the Islip area for fear of them fulfilling the order.
I paid almost $70 on a premium arrangement. I picked inexpensive flowers so I expected the arrangement to be voluminous. The result is no where near comparable to the advertised image.
They were also difficult working with in delivering the arrangement. It was for my mother's birthday. They made a delivery attempt in the early afternoon in a residential neighborhood, knowing perfectly well that people work during the day unless they're disabled or retired. Because it was below freezing, they left a door tag to rearrange delivery, or so they say. My mom said she didn't receive one. Teleflora confused matters by sending a delivery confirmation email. So I didn't realize the flowers hadn't been delivered until I followed up with my mom.
When I called Teleflora today, they said they would speak to the store to ensure they get delivered today along with note advising my mother that delivery was attempted on her actual birthday. That afternoon, I got a call from the florist, they said they would not deliver the flowers without prior arrangement with my mother. My mom is busy and should not have to go out of her way to ensure she receives a present I paid a delivery fee on. Their excuse is that they couldn't leave the flowers out, but at the time of my phone call with them, the temperature outside was above 45 degrees. The woman was also argumentative, insisting that my mother had to be there to accept the delivery. It was my money, my order, I told her to just deliver the flowers , but she wouldn't.
It would have been easier to buy flowers from the grocery store and hand deliver them myself. If I wasn't taking care of a newborn and my postpartum care,...
Read moreDO NOT BUY HERE! I went into this store two days before Valentines day and ordered two dozen roses. I paid for them and was assured they would be ready for pick up on V Day. I entered the establishment to see a huge line with people saying its taking forever. One gentleman stated he was there for 30 min and was not even close to the counter. I explained to the customer service person that I pre paid and I was there to pick up my flowers. I was met with a nasty wait in line like everyone else. I reminded this big loser that I paid him already (and not cheap) and that the flowers were to be ready, again "Well there not cant you see I'm busy" what a complete fool. Do not patronize this arrogant SOB. Thankfully Amex saw it my way and he did not get my money. I have no reason to write this other than my experience was so upsetting. Writing reviews is not my thing. Try Country Village Florist for fast and courteous service that's where i ended up going after this POOR example of a flower shop almost wrecked an...
Read moreVery disappointed in the customer service. I wanted 3 floral arrangements for my grandfather's wake. He is a navy veteran and grandfather to 25 kids. After talking to the first lady for 30 minutes and giving my credit card info to pay, another lady from the back yelled out that it was too many flowers and that we shouldn't have waited so long to order, showing no compassion for our loss. Mind you, my grandfather passed at only 3am that morning. We agreed to drop the American flag because they could not fulfill that order. On top of this, we had ordered an anchor and requested that it be navy blue. Please see the picture for what $524 bought us. The "professionals" never warned us that you might not be able to see the anchor on the backdrop. When questioned as to why we weren't warned that this might happen, the response was "we don't know the lighting in the funeral home." I have yet to be in a bright, cheery funeral home. I will never...
