Vanderbilt Shopping Center — Local services in Town of Islip

This review is solely for Porsias Italian Restaurant as I do not frequent the other stores in the shopping plaza. This is one of the few restaurants in the Central Islip and Brentwood area which I really enjoy to frequent. The owner herself often waits on us and gives us her undivided attention. Her food is delicious and makes me want to try many menu items each visit. The combination of her special touch and the cuisine makes me always long for more. I can eat Italian food eight days a week. There should be many more restaurants like this in this part of Long Island, but sadly there are none. The only way I can find the type of Cuisine that I enjoy is in Manhattan, but when I don't feel like traveling, this is where I dine. Thank you Porsia, we look forward to...

This is an additionalstrip of stores from the Vanderbilt Center. This set of stores (7-11, Subway, Chinese food, Carvel, Boost mobile, nail salon) is for fast in and out stops. The biggest problem here is thatthe parking lot is So Small that there's usually a back up just to park. I've often avoided stopping here bc their lot was full with cars waiting and everybody...

The pre-made wrap I purchased, with tax, was about $9.70...ripoff! If it was Manhattan I would understand, but It's far from it. The meat selection is inviting but expensive.
