Halal Munchies — Restaurant in Town of Islip

Amazing experience. Our company had a holiday "potluck' and we decided to get catering from Halal Munchies. This is because one of our coworkers can only eat halal food. The owner gave us a very reasonable price considering we ordered a large tray of salad, a large tray of rice and both chicken/ lamb. When we went to pick it, they were preparing everything fresh for us. They were generous with the white sauce (practically gave us a tub of it) and hot sauce as well. The portions were so large, the company had enough for those who wanted "seconds" as well as taking a plate home. Between the owners passion, the helpful staff and quality of food it was a "no-brainer!" Consider asking about catering, but if not, definitely dine in. 4.5 stars. Solid portion and reasonably priced. Pictured is the mixed combo over rice platter. All the ingredients seemed fresh. 2nd time here and would go back when I’m in the area. Hummus was a different consistency than I was used to, almost cake-ish. Requested extra spicy and do think they dialed the red sauce up a few notches. Wish you could more/equal amounts of both red/white sauces. Appeared to be limited online ordering but maybe missed the option. White sauce was my side sauce and that was minimal. A lifesaver. Great prices, good amount of food for what you pay, and some great flavor in there. Was different from the usual halal places I go, but after finishing the food I've gotta say, I think I like their style better than what I usually see. And they're open so late so they're a lifesaver when nothing else is open but like, taco bell or McDonald's. If you're late and hungry skip those, go here and get some real food for less cost.
