Id love to know the little lady who helped me so i could mail the store a thank you snd Tim Hortins gift card. I was having the worst day ever and decided to try and do some repairs at home and i needed a special type of bolt however i did not know the size or anything and only had a picture of it to go by. I stopped at several stores (Walmart, Home Depot & Value) only to learn no one knew what bolt it was and told they probably didnt sell it anyways. So that just added to my horrible day. So headed home i noticed Hectors Hardware on Transit rd and said what the heck, why not. So I go in and this short female employee asked if i needed help and i showed her the picture and explained my situation. She takes me over the the middle if the bolt isle and opens a drawer and POOF, Theres the very bolt I've been looking for. So with that and how friendly and kind she was made my dark rainy day just a bit brighter. If I could say Thank You I would! But I never asked for her name being I probably look like a creep or something. But really, if she only knew how much one little bolt and her friendly Help...
Read moreThese sites should let you give a zero star rating. Avoid this store for repairs. Took a lawnmower in for a simple repair quoted $50 repair. When I went back to pick it up they claimed they had done all this other work to it that was unauthorized. They tacked on $250 for a tune-up and new belt. When I brought it in there was a new belt already on it (of course they claimed it was worn and they threw it out) . You can get a car tuned up for how much and they add $250 for a lawnmower? When I complained their answer was that the $50 repair I brought it in for was actually $350, but they discounted it because of the other work, so I saved money. They lie through their teeth and rip the customer off, even if this work would have been authorized who would pay that amount? The lawn mower was...
Read moreTook my one year old snow blower there because I couldn’t get it started. They fixed the issue, then did an additional tuneup without consulting me first. Also told me they could pick it up and drop it off without telling me it was an additional $50. I get paying for that convenience, but I live less than two miles from the store. Anyway, $220 later the snowblower works but I’m never taking anything here again.
UPDATE!!
While I appreciate the response from the owner I’d just like to let everyone know that this Saturday (the first time I needed to use the snow blower all year) it again wouldn’t start. I called and was told to call back Monday because there were no small engine mechanics there at that time.
I look forward to speaking with ‘Russ’ on Monday about my full and...
