I went to IBC today. I was told that I am a "LIAR" and that I would have the cops called on me to remove me from the store because I raised my voice after being called a LIAR. I bought a pair of Chippewa boots 8 months ago. I was checking the tread out the other day to see how it was holding up because I've been working hard. I noticed that the tread was 2 different styles, but that the model numbers under the tongue are exactly the same. I tried to have them replaced because I was worried about my back, one boot is taller than the other. These boots still have a lot of life left in them, but I can't wear them. This store has very poor customer service. What happened to the days when, "The customer was always right?" We have shopped at IBC for years. They have a good selection for men & an ok selection for women and children. Several times a year we shop for shoes or boots as well as misc items and coats. Prices are interesting as they fluctuate without reason or sales. My biggest complaint is the lack of customer service. Rarely do we encounter a friendly or upbeat employee. Most do not even acknowledge we are present. Why is this behavior allowed to be the 'norm?' Today we were again at the store shopping for boots and coats. A female clerk actually smirked, turned, laughed and walked away at a question I asked regarding differences in boot brands. We have often left commenting on the service and today was no exception. Online shopping or plattsburgh ny shopping is easier with friendlier clerks. Why...

Very poor customer service. I asked someone if they have an extra stock for a quite expensive coat I wanted to get but the lady started telling me in an irritated tone that most display items are never there for too long and that they are in good condition. I was just asking, if she said no it wouldn’t have made a difference since I wanted to get the coat anyways. So I walked around to look at some other items and even smiled to the other salesperson but she looks totally uninterested and just stared at me. On the way to the cashier, I saw the salesperson I asked earlier and she decided to give me the stink eye while I was holding the coat. I put the coat back and walked out.
