(LONG POST, who is the OWNER) I purchased a 2010 Volkswagen CC from Jay whom I thought was a very nice guy in the beginning. However, it turned out that being nice was a part of his job. On June 11th, 2020, I arrived, test drove the car, asked questions regarding the Oil change, Transmission, etc. and Jay told me that the Transmission was service by his mechanics. Jay gave me a 30 warranty on the Transmission and Engine as stated that "If anything should happen within the 30 days, they are responsible to fix it with NO CHARGE (Yes, I have it in writing). Let me just say that ALL COMMUNICATION from this point is by text messages and I have ALL printed out from day one. On June 29th, I sent a text message and asked him to call me regarding my car going into reverse. He called me right away and we talked about it when he told me that CCs seldom do that but again, insured me that it was ok. July 6th (Still under the 30 day warranty), I contacted him again due to me driving home on highway from work. I told him that I would take it to a volkswagen dealer which I paid $139. out of pocket, sent him a copy where it said the transmission. He said that he would talk to his mechanics and see what they want to do. I have continued to contact Jay with him responding all the way until the day before the warranty expired, he stop responding. Nothing else did he say, tell me to get it back to him, NOTHING. I them contacted him again (which he read it) when I say that I have all the receipts from talking to him, he was going to talk to mechanics, its a few months later and my car is not catching gears as well as every time i go into reverse, i have to shut the car off, restart it and Pray that it will go into reverse. He has yet to respond. Here I am TODAY (October 30th, 2020) with a car that is in the shop from the transmission problem, no money to get it out, A broken writing promise with a warranty, receipts that in happen within the 30 days and cant get around. this isn't fair the way that Jay treated me and something...
Read moreChris and his staff were amazing to deal with. It’s very difficult finding a shop that’s not afraid to work on a Tesla. Chris was prepared in every way possible to work on the car. He immediately knew to put the car in Jack mode before lifting the vehicle. He also had the dedicated pucks used for jacking up the vehicle or lifting the vehicle. Chris’s equipment is up-to-date and the best of the best. His tech Isaac installed the new tire pressure sensors and mounted the tires to the wheels with no issues. Isaac’s care and attention to detail was a cut above the rest. He was sure to place tape around the edge of the wheel and make sure not to scratch the polished brush finish that these new wheels were done in. Isaac then balance the wheels on their road force balancer, giving the vehicle perfect, vibration, free ride. Throughout the process, both Chris and Isaac educated myself with their procedures, equipment, and technique. They both took the time to explain all of the data and information that was in front of me, allowing me to understand and learn more about the installation process of new tires and wheels. My comfort level is through the roof with this company. Attention to detail, the willingness to not only educate, but make sure that the customer understands what they’re paying for makes Motorwerks one of the most amazing companies I’ve ever dealt with. They will be servicing everyone of my vehicles moving forward. Finding an honest shop, with an owner that cares in this day and age is next to the impossible. But understand that they do exist, and Chris’s is one of them. The second part of that is that Chris’s crew care as much as he does. Do yourself a favor and take a ride by his shop. You’ll be treated to a mixture of classic and modern cars for every car lover/Enthusiast. And more importantly, you’ll be treated with and Owner and his crew that actually care about each other and...
Read moreWas a great shop when they first started out. Ever since they hired “help” the quality of their work diminished. I’d get my car back with bolts missing and parts broken. They broke the seal on my headlight trying to change the ballast on my car. Water got inside the headlight and ruined the lens and headlight leveling sensor. They told me “the sensors on these cars go bad”, trying to act like it was a coincidence when I can see the part that broke submerged in water from them breaking the seal on my headlight.
They gave me the car back twice claiming that it was fixed but as soon as it rained water got into the headlight again. I bring it back once more, and I get a text telling me my car is ready but that they had to leave early, so they’ll leave my key in the mailbox so I can pick it up. When I arrive on the rainy day, I see one of my wheels now has curb rash on it and the headlight is flooded with water still. Funny how they conveniently left early that day. I immediately contact them asking about it and the front desk guy sends me a paragraph text message telling me that they brought it to a BMW dealership because they couldn’t figure out how to fix it and that they must’ve scratched it there. He proceeds to get angry with me for telling him that the headlights still broken, along with the newly scratched wheel, and tells me that he thinks it’s best if we part ways. He then proceeds to block my number.
I had been going to this shop for 5 years prior to this, but I guess they’d rather lose a customer than right their wrong. A real shame. Had to come out of pocket for a new headlight, a new sensor, and a wheel refinish. All things that weren’t broken before they touched my car.
EDIT I’ve attached pictures since the owner wants to pretend I “have the wrong shop”. My car is literally the white 335i they have a pic posted of in front of their old location lol. Come on...
