I've never left a review in my life, but my experience at SmashBurger today was so awful that I had to. My dad and I decided to stop for lunch. We had no change for the meter, he went inside to explain that we would be eating there, but needed to first ask for change. The cashier immediately looked at him and said "not my problem" and turned her back like a toddler throwing a tantrum. When he asked to speak to the manager, he lacked any social skills, and was unable to handle the attitude coming from his employee. As we were walking out with our backs turned he passive aggressively said "we aren't a bank to be giving out change". I agree, you aren't a bank sir, but you are a manager of a restaurant, and you should have control over your employees. Even more so, you should understand basic respect and needs of your customers, especially when asking for a simple request.
As a business owner I understand that some things may be against policy. Never was it stated that producing change for a customer was against their policy. Maybe SmashBurger should take this under consideration; along with higher standards in employee training.
I can't speak to the quality of their food. Which is unfortunate because I really did want to try it. After that experience I can say I won't...
Read moreI don’t normally come to this location as I’m not from the area - however I feel the need to give a special shout-out to one employee in particular, Erin. I’m not sure if she’s the manager or shift-lead, etc but she was incredible. I had asked for a modification to my burger that was unusual and let me know what it might be difficult to accomplish. However, she came through and was able to get me the burger I asked for and was so kind about it. Right after we ordered, about 20+ people had come to the restaurant to place orders and she was running around doing an amazing job of making sure everyone was taken care of and everything came out right. She even made conversation with a young child who had a stuffed animal - and I’ve never been more impressed with an employee of establishment before. She checked in with us to make sure we were enjoying our meals and I really appreciated her going above and beyond while we ate there....
Read moreI been at this restaurant plenty of times and never have no problem with no one ( the young lady’s are extremely nice and helpful) but the AA elder lady have been extremely rude to me the 2 times that I been there that she was there with absolutely 0 reasons ( all I wanted was to make a order) and after she took my order start murmuring things to herself with attitude while preparing the order, if she treats other costumers this way I wouldn’t be surprised a littler be if this is the main reason what the smash burger at this location is most of the time empty ( people just want to eat and have a nice time no have to deal with this rude dramatic person).
