Worst place. You can't get thru the telephone to speak to a nurse or receive a call back to save your life. the most you get is the operators and they get annoyed when you call back consistently to get someone on the phone but they don't know about the call outcome when they transfer so I understand them. Thank god for an operator named Susan who was able to get me a nurse supervisor yesterday after 10 phone call attempts with being on hold more than 10 minutes. They can pull phone logs and see for themselves boy I wonder if the owner cared how would they handle that. My mom was left in poop and pi and under meds that she couldn't walk talk eat or anything just a vegetable for 3 days after she was transported there. After finally raising chaos yesterday i finally got a nurse supervisor on the phone and she did her job and checked my mom with a Dr and realized my mom's state was not good duh if you guys would have picked the phone up 2 days ago or regularly they wouldve known if they attended patients with care and not just as a job they would have known she wasn't good after her 2nd day there. My mom went from talking normal and eating to be moved to a facility that kept her as a vegetable from the first day. Had I not made chaos I would have found my mom brain dead. When they transported her to the hospital she was borderline in coma because jewish families lol failed to do followups, blood tests, care for their patients as they should etc... Thank god for sloan kettering she's talking today and being treated for the issues at hand which jewish families failed to acknowledge or find remedies for. Some push patients around cause it was witnessed. Beware if you really love your family member stay on top of Dr's nurses dietary all of it now in days some people just do it as a job with no care. THIS GREAT NURSING HOME REHAB FAILED MY MOM AND WHO KNOWS HOW MANY OTHERS THAT ARE BLIND TO SEE. I DO THANK JOVITA THE NURSE SUPERVISOR FOR SHE HANDLED MY CONCERN PROMPTLY. I THANK SUSAN FOR ASSISTING ME THRU MY CALLS FOR SHE REMAINED PROFESSIONAL AND ASSISTED. CALVIN BEWARE HE'S A NURSE OR WHATEVER HE IS AND DOESN'T CARE AND WHAT NURSE HANGS UP ON A CONCERNED FAMILY MEMBER. SMH THE REST OF THE CREW UGHHH ... HEY NURSE CAN U HELP CHANGE THIS PATIENT ... NURSE RESPONSE I'M TOO BUSY... YEA OKAY.... EVERYONE WATCH OUTTTT MEDS IS THEIR ANSWER UNTIL THE NEXT ROUND OF MEDS . TRUST AND BELIEVE THOUGH GOD IS GOOD!!! GOD IS THE DR NOMATTER WHO OR WHAT MEDS FAIL ALWAYS BELIEVE AND WATCH OUT!!!! FRIENDLINESS AND CLEANLINESS DOESN'T OUTWEIGH CARING FOR...

NIGHTMARE ON PALMER AVE! There are no words to describe this place. Sarah Neuman must be listed as the TOP 10 WORST NURSING HOMES in the United States of America. I wouldn't even send a stray cat from a third world county with fleas there. Few reasons why: Staffing including administration: Extremely lazy and most of the floor workers have a chip on their shoulder. They don't care about the patient at all and push you onto another staff member. The director of admissions throws of up her hands when you try to voice your complaints to her. Accountability: There is no such thing as accountability at this place. Everyone you go to (including management) says it's not my job and to call the front desk. Especially REGINA PERUCHO! Doesn't take any responsibility and loves to say not my job/department. Since this place is a nightmare already, I have to say HR did a wonderful job hiring her she has all the qualifications for this place. She needs a raise. Communication: There is none. Only one thing they're good at communicating at and that is discharge. They had my brother with (dementia) sign his own discharge papers. On the discharge paperwork it says the patient has a verbalized understanding with his signature. He can't even pass a mini cog test. How is he able to understand/comprehend what is going on. Since my brother can no longer write she dated it the paperwork for him, and he scribbled. He doesn't know the day of the week or year. Patient Hygiene: Sad really. My brother needed haircut, shave, and nails cut. I have asked multiple times for this to be done it has NOT. I called the hairdresser (no answer) went to her/his office and no one is there. He hardly got showers and had food under his nails. We brought him clothes to make him feel like a human, but they left him in a hospital gown 24 hours a day. If you have a tour scheduled, cancel it now. Words can't describe how poorly run this...

If I could leave no stars in a rating for this facility I would. This facility has been an absolute nightmare to deal with and I regret ever allowing my family member to be placed there. The care for patients is severely lacking and the administration is incompetent and disrespectful at best. I have made a formal complaint with the Department of Health and am seeking recourse for the treatment of my family and myself by the entire staff. I worry about the people in this facility who do not have people to advocate for them. If you care about your loved ones or yourself do not go to this facility for care.

UPDATE: Though they replied that they would “reach out to me directly” regarding my review that’s an absolute lie. Not one person has reached out to me regarding anything save me being a thorn in their side. I have been spoken down to and belittled over the phone and via email for weeks from this disgusting place. I’ve been told I don’t need to be “hostile” or “aggressive” because I’ve asked for the legal department contact information from at least a dozen people in a dozen emails. I’m the aggressive one for wanting medical records that’s taken over three weeks to get. The only reason why I received any contact was because I told them I was making a formal complaint with the Department of health. This place should be shut down, it is an absolute sorry excuse for a facility that is meant to care for people. Do not send your family here. Raise hell for the people you care about because that’s the only way things will get...
