As a reliable supplier to Chicone Cabinetmakers I have been involved with many of Vince's projects from start to finish and have noticed the approach Vincent and his staff take is a creative undertaking, more so than just a job to built something out of wood. They fully understand what their customer wants and combine their experience and craftsmanship to produce a truly one of a kind project.
Chicone Cabinetmakers allow the natural beauty of wood to be in the forefront of whatever they are building and select hardwoods and plywood that is best suited for what ever they are going to create. From the quality of the construction of cabinets to the finishing, it is obvious the steps they take result in an eye-catching, exceeding expectations outcome, their customers recognize as one of a kind.
I have seen many cabinet shops and there are few that are as versatile and well equipped as Chicones. Hand tools are used in making Windsor chairs, while a CNC machine allows Vincent to produce multiple components that may be required for large projects and to put the finishing touch on a the wood, a state of the art finishing booth is used to apply the necessary finish the will preserve the beauty of the wood they have used.
It is always a pleasure to work with Vincent and everyone involved with his company. I always look forward to learning of an upcoming project and I know they are enthused working with their clients. Whether it be an example of a replica of Benjamin Franklin's Library chair, reproduced for the University of Pennsylvania, or a commercial project such as the visitors center at one of the Finger Lakes wineries the end result is a truly...
Read moreWe first met Vincent Chicone in 2010. At that time, we were planning a major kitchen remodel to create our "dream kitchen". The first thing we were able to do was tour the Chicone's workshop. We were amazed by the passion and love of carpentry that was so evident in the way Vincent talked about his current projects as he showed them to us. During the design process, Vincent was very patient as we worked through different ideas and he invested significant time to understand our wants and needs in the process. He also contributed valuable ideas and suggestions of his own, but was always respectful of the fact that this was our kitchen and we needed to love it. He worked hard to help us have a vision of the final "dream kitchen" and he made sure that he clearly understood that vision. Once the cabinets were built and they were ready to be installed we began working with David Chicone and like his son, he is a remarkable craftsman. The project was meticulously executed from beginning to end. There were no hidden costs and they met the promised timeline. The end result is that we enjoy the kitchen of our dreams and we love it! Since that time, we have used Chicone Cabinetry/Builders to create a gorgeous custom front door and they are also remodeling three bathrooms. Once again our expectations have not only bet met, but exceeded! I can't give a higher recommendation, they do amazing work and more importantly they are reliable and honest people who are a pleasure...
Read moreIf you want your kitchen to be the kind of kitchen that you will love walking into every day and just marvel at, Chicone is who you go with. Top notch all the way around. They designed and built custom cabinets for our gut kitchen renovation including a custom made herringbone pattern walnut vent hood ( built by Eli) that is the spectacular centerpiece of the room. They were very accessible, willing to work with us and our ideas while also guiding us in the right direction along the way. Their craftsmanship, attention to detail and pride in their high quality work show through in every piece - each cabinet is treated like a separate piece of furniture. We never felt rushed. Jen Chicone had a great eye and sense of space, and Vincent also has a great eye and builds magnificent pieces. These guys are training apprentices in their shop and are all invested in the work. Can’t recommend highly enough and if you saw our new kitchen...
