Hey! So I am new to the area and I was looking to get a quilt made for my grandma since my grandfather passed away recently. I had my husband park in the designated parking for the quilting place and I had to walk next door to make an appointment for my hair which only takes a few minutes. When I got back I was told by my husband that he was very RUDELY approached by some lady in her maybe 50-60s or older and she knocked on my BRAND NEW CARS WINDOW very hard to tell him he isn’t to park there(he didn’t know I was going to go there or what I was doing since I just got out of the hospital last night and I wasn’t really feeling good enough to talk much at that time and tell him my plans) he has to drive me around at the moment so he was just being a good husband and doing what I asked. DO NOT BRING YOUR MACHINE HERE FOR REPAIRS. Brought in two sergers. They were happy to take them and assure me their guy can fix anything. Today I’m charged $50 for each machine and told they could not fix either one. $106 down the drain for nothing! Mechanic called me to say they can’t get a service manual for an Elna. SO WHY DID THEY TAKE AN ELNA IN FOR REPAIR??? After charging me the $50, They did suggest I take the Elna to PATTI’s on Quaker Rd. which IS an Elna repair shop! WHY DIDNT THEY TELL ME THAT TO BEGIN WITH??? The other machine is a baby lock. They cannot get parts for that one either!!! THEY ARE NOT TRANSPARENT AT ALL!!!...

I purchased a used Handi Quilter Avante from someone not related to the store and took it to Adirondack Quilts for an overall service check. I was told that a guide block was worn, and was given 3 options to fix it, each one more expensive than the other. I said I'd rely on their expertise as to which option would be best. The repair was quickly made at the lowest cost and the machine is running well. I could have been charged for the most expensive option, but wasn't, and I appreciate that, and the fast turn-around.
