Let me preface this by saying that the food was PHENOMENAL. What I ate of it....

The staff was friendly but the service was slow, it was busy. Ok, no problem. I am eating alone. Get seated, get a drink and chips. Finish the basket of chips before the waiter comes back to take my food order (we'll call it 10-15 min but I wasn't timing). Ask for more chips and a re-fill after I order. Never comes. 35 min later, food comes out. Glass is finally refilled (still no new chips but its all good, I have real food now). The Pollo Fundido was AMAZING.

BUT... I'm about half-way through my first one when I see something crawling in my lettuce. Look, lettuce comes from the ground, there's bugs on it. Its all good. But this thing is looking at me. Its also worm shaped. I'm not a fan. I don't want to make a big deal of it but I'm also done eating now. I've eaten in some rough places on earth, bugs don't bother me. Worm shaped things in my food bother me a bit. I slide the plate away and wait. Waiter comes by. I'm close to other people so I try to quietly state that there is a bug in my food and I'm just not a fan. I'm not asking for free food just am done. Want the check please. The waiter then begins to question me on where I saw this bug and what it was. I show him. I also recommend they re-clean all the lettuce. He picks up the lettuce with the worm-thing on it and inspects it. I repeat they should probably re-clean the lettuce. He then begins to berate me that this is a clean restaurant and they clean their vegetables and I can leave. He takes the plate and leaves. I wait around to see if he brings my check. Again, I'm not looking for a comp-ed meal, I'm just done eating. He comes back by a few minutes later and repeats that I can leave. So I go.

The food was amazing, I really liked the place. I will probably even go back. I just was not a fan of the interaction with the wait staff before the food came and after the issue...

First, I will say that the food was very good. Chips and salsa were provided to the table. I ordered the fajitas that included shrimp, steak, and chicken; excellent. Rice and beans also good. I might have made a return trip except for the service. We arrived and let the hostess know we had a party of 7. She spoke limited English, but nodded and headed towards the back of the restaurant...to a regular booth that might seat 4 smaller adults squeezed together, never mind the space for food. I told her that wouldn't work, but she kept insisting. In the middle of the room were 2 separated long tables. I indicated we could push these together, but she either didn't understand or didn't want to, as she stood nearby refusing to acknowledge the situation. Our group finally decided to push the tables together and seated ourselves. At this point, a gentleman came out- not sure his role - saw us, shook his head, and left. By now,we felt very unwanted, but had already started in on the chips and salsa, so we stayed. The overall experience was very odd. Orders were taken, food brought out, and that was about it. Not much in the way of stopping by to check on us, get more drinks, etc. At the end, a mysterious .50 charge was added to each of our bills (not credit card related, as it was added to the original total before we even paid). The receipt just has numbers with no descriptions, but we didn't press the issue. One of the strangest experiences I have had. We won't be back, unfortunately, as I was very uncomfortable the entire time...

I went here last night and i have gone here over 20 times. Usually spending 100 dollars plus. So last night me and my girlfriend go i get what i normally get the house special fajitas large house margaritas and a tortilla soup. Soup was great as always. Margaritas great as always. Fajitas not bad until i move the food around on the skillet and see old dryed up food on the edge and under the food. I tell the server he tells the owner who comes over to me Aggressively telling me im wrong In arguing with me telling me it's cheese meanwhile there's no cheese on this dish. Now i have a 30 year back ground in many kitchens and have played every roll in many types of kitches from fast food to line cook to banquets to prep cook to fry cook to steaks pasta sea food fine dining you name it iv worked it. That means i know what im talking about and i can tell you the difference between hot melted cheese to old stuck on cheese that went thru a restaurant commercial dishwasher. So i took holy 4 bites of my soup 3 drinks of my margarita and a 1/4 of my meal. The bill woulf have been 100 or so witch is usually worth it. But not last night as the owner was aggressively rude argumentative sobwe got up and left still beong charged 50 dollars for food and drinks we didnt even finish i only paid cause im not a pos. But i hope you read this and realize you were wrong...

We were looking forward to Mi Rancho after a long day outdoors on our family vacation. We were so in the mood for Mexican food, any style, and several reviews on Yelp and Google Maps were decent. We chose it over Raul’s and La Cosina. The staff was casual and friendly, and location close to center of town. Though this night Mi Rancho was terribly disappointing. Tortilla chips were stale, salsa tasted like it was out of a can. I ate one of my enchiladas, no more. They were luke warm on the outside and cold inside, and the one I ate had three bones in successive bites. The mole sauce was so sweet, I struggled to swallow it. There was a salad and guacamole on the side, some of the lettuce was black and rotting. Other dishes my family ordered were of similar quality. My house margarita on the rocks was ok, a full quart in a giant glass beer mug. Though I was so turned off by the food I couldn’t drink the rest of my margarita. My son enjoyed his virgin pina colada. We paid the $75 for our three entrees and left to eat elsewhere. I hate giving a family restaurant a negative review but this was just poor quality. Perhaps it was an off night for Mi Rancho, or review standards are lower in Glen Falls. Won’t be back.

You know you're in for a treat when you're greeted by warm tortilla chips and salsa as soon as you sit down. Great Mexican-American food. Every dish we had was delicious. The Pollo Diabla was fantastic and extremely spicy. This dish is not for the faint of heart. The Steak Chipotle came out hot and sizzling. The Ranchero fajitas is the "catch all" dish for the most indecisive of us-- shrimp, chicken, chorizo, steak, beef, bell peppers, and onions all in one dish. And somehow, it all works. Great value for money. Each dish came with rice, refried beans, guacamole, and sour cream. The refried beans and Mexican rice had a nice kick to them; they were well flavoured and not just an afterthought. I love the music playing, TVs blaring, and the staff singing along in the background. The walls are bright pink and the booths are neon green. So many nick-nacks on the walls. The wonderfully chaotic atmosphere only adds to the experience. Our server Augusto was great! Thank you. We will be back.
