A Vitullo Inc. — Local services in Town of New Hartford

We had met with the younger (son of the owner?) salesman earlier in the summer, and were impressed with his engagement. Unfortunately, they didn't have the material we were looking for, but we still wanted to hire them, to give them some business.

So we found the material abroad, and ordered the suit with an estimate of what my dimensions, and then brought it in to be tailored at A. Vitullo's.

The young man greeted us, but wasn't sure if they would have time over the next 2 months to work on it. So he calls over an older salesman (father, possible Mr. Vitullo himself?).

This man was rude and judgmental. Without waiting to hear why we didn't order locally, he ripped into the fit, and spoke from his high horse "this is why you buy locally!". After I responded to his disrespect by stating that I can always find another tailor if they're not interested in working with a suit not purchased through them, this man likewise made it clear that he didn't need my business ("I don't care." or something to that effect) and stumped off to more important business from more expensive clientele more worth his time and obviously stilted sense of self-worth.

What a shame too, because I would have loved to have worked with the younger salesman, who I think should go into business for himself rather than be dragged down by the customer service anchor that is his boss. One can only imagine what a fellow like him could be capable of if her were not having to answer to...

Working with the team at A. Vitullo Inc. could not have gone better for my wedding. They came recommended by a family member after their own wedding suit rentals were botched by a bigger, WAREHOUSE-like company that also offers suits to rent and buy. What sets A. Vitullo apart is the impeccable service offered. All of the staff we worked with were polite, professional, and friendly, making us feel right at home.

From the first time I walked in with my fiance, they asked us about the details of our wedding and what we wanted in the groomsmen’s outfits. Their attention to detail was amazing and even though my groomsmen were scattered all over the East coast and had to send in their measurements, we all left with suits that fit us and felt right. Anything that did not fit right on the first try was quickly switched out for another of the many pieces they keep fully in stock at their location in New Hartford. There was no mess of waiting for a jacket or shoe to come in from another location the days before your wedding when time is precious, it’s all there on site. This was an immense help in relieving my stress as a groom and allowed me to feel comfortable and confident all day...

All I can say is WOW and simply AMAZING!! I called a really well known place in Syracuse looking for a fedora hat to go with the uniform i wear at work. They were incredibly rude over the phone and refused to help. So I Googled local hat stores near me and Vitullos in new Hartford shopping center came up. I called and explained to the person on the phone I work for a local motor coach company and wanted a classic fedora hat that would go with my uniform and explained what colors my shirts are. The guy was amazing. I went there and the guy showed me the hats and help me find the right one that fit right and looked great. A second older gentleman came over and helped me with it. I was treated like I was going to spend a ton of money on a whole new wardrobe or something!! The Customer service and sales people have the old time Customer service values and know how to make a Customer feel appreciated. I will be going back very soon to get a tailored suit ( incredibly reasonable and almost 1/2 the price of the off the rack suits from the syracuse place in was going to go!!
