Cutest place in New Paltz to buy in- style clothes and jewelry pieces . I have purchased numerous articles of clothing as well as jewelry from them and they are still in great quality after years of being worn. The owner / any worker I have met is very sweet as well! Not sure what the negative reviews are about? Yes it’s pricey , but that is classic of new Paltz, especially in the waterstreet market area, & it doesn’t mean they deserve a negative review, as the quality of the products are very very nice..

Yes there is only store credit, but that is the rule for MANY stores especially small businesses. I have always been treated kindly and was always helped if I asked ! always had good conversation there & never any weird vibes. I don’t want to assume anyone who said their experience wasn’t nice was wrong, but I just want to say that we shouldn’t judge people as “rude” if they aren’t over-the-top-friendly. Sometimes people aren’t as outgoing as you may be, and sometimes people have a bad day for personal reasons. I don’t know I just hate seeing a perfectly run business get a bad review because she wasn’t up to personal standards ? Bad reviews are for bad products and gross environments. Not for interactions that didn’t go your way. As long as she wasn’t rude and kept it professional, who cares if she was perfectly helpful or as nice as you wanted them to be,...

Livingston Manor location: The first time I went here, it was okay. There was a friendly worker with a service dog and she was nice and helpful. This time, I got to meet the owner…. wow. Really bad experience. I tried to make conversation and she was very disinterested. Seemed like she was drunk or on drugs or something. I picked out a necklace, a ring, and a matching pair of earrings. First red flag- I picked a ring that I loved and asked her how much? she took it and said “oh, that’s mine, that’s not for sale”. I thought that was a little weird, but I picked another. I handed her the pair of earrings I wanted, and paid. When I left the store I opened the bag (thank god I did) and found that she gave me the wrong earrings - and the pair was two completely different styles of hoops! I turned around and went back in, assuming she must have just accidentally put the wrong pair in the bag. But they were mysteriously nowhere to be found. She was so rude. Gaslit me, acted like I was crazy, stared at me like I was stupid…. I finally asked for a refund and she said “ABSOLUTELY” like she couldn’t wait for me to gtfo of her store. She could barely type the right buttons while trying to refund me. Horrible energy. This lady truly does not gaf. Honestly don’t waste your time/energy and save your money for businesses that actually care about...

It’s unfortunate really. I LOVE this store. They have some beautiful jewelry and it’s plated which is important to me as I have an allergy to some metals.

I don’t know if she is the owner or what but the lady helping us really just didn’t care. I tried to show her that I was actually interested in buying (and believe me... I could have bought way more than I did) but there just wasn’t any spark. Don’t get me wrong, as I started to put stuff at the register, she did start recommending pieces which I appreciate, but she was either sick or looked miserable.
