I was so excited about this restaurant and looked forward to eating here. I called to place and order and asked specifically about Gluten Free options. The gentleman walked me through what was available and I ordered a gluten free sandwich and cookie. Due to COVID, everything is take-out. I picked up my order and walked to meet my family. I opened up my sandwich and began eating it. I started getting sick and looked more closely at the sandwich and realized it was regular bread. I immediately called and told them I thought I had a regular sandwich. At first the man thought I was mistaken but then realized I was correct - I had sandwich bread and the gluten free option is a wrap. He immediately remade my sandwich but the damage had already been done.
The sandwich was really good - I fed my first sandwich it to my daughters who are not gluten free - they highly recommend it. My GF cookie was very good too. I would recommend this restaurant but be very careful if you are gluten free and triple check what...
Read moreAfter taking a 6 mile walk on the rail trail we stopped in for lunch. Our friend has been to Karma Road before but it was our first time. It’s a small place with a few bar stools and tables. You order at the counter and they will bring the food to your area. Their tag line is “Fresh, Organic Food for the Soul” which best describes Karma Road.
Two of us had the Falafel Wrap ($13.99) “Our falafel are baked, not fried and joined with our own hummus, grated carrot, tomato, lettuce & tahini dressing.” My wife had a flex bowl with millet and lentil, blackened tofu and our friend had the soup of the day (tomato and bean).
The service was excellent. They were very friendly and worked hard to keep things going. We messed up our order and only got one of the Falafel Wraps. Our fault, but they quickly made us a second one. We ended up taking that one home to enjoy the next day. We also got a couple of Triple Berry muffins.
Everything was delicious. A perfect way to end a nice walk on...
Read moreI love Karma Road! Their food is excellent. When I was first brought there I expected the vegan food to be flavorless, but wow was I wrong! Their dishes are great. They blend all the right spices and seasonings so their meals and dishes are packed with flavor. They make a blackened tofu that you can add to any dish or even to their salads. The blackened tofu is one of my favorites, but their soups and salads are great too. Their Kalacado salad is amazing- if you thought raw kale has no taste then you have to give this a try! Then besides tasting great, turns out they source their ingredients sustainably, locally, and organically! In addition to this, their staff is excellent. Good friendly servers who know exactly what they’re serving and what goes well to match it. This business has a lot of heart and will look out for their customers no matter what. If you’re in New Paltz, give Karma Road a try, you’ll be...
