Hannaford — Local services in Town of Niskayuna

Staff masked up. There was sanitizer and a paper towels to clean cart handles in the doorway There was an unmasked woman walking against the arrows and a young couple deliberately walking against traffic in every row on purpose. Store people were notified; but nothing was done. Store was clean looking. You have to bag your own groceries. I did not know this until my groceries were being rung up. I have trouble bagging, and lifting the bags into the cart so it was difficult. Had I known I was going to have to bag my own, I would not have stood in the long cashier line; I'd have gone to self checkout where there was no line. I did see a bagger bagging at the aisle next to me; but my cashier told me I had to do mine myself. I think the store should make announcement reminders about masks and not let people shop without them. The setup seemed safe; but the few people ignoring safety rules made me regret going out shopping after nearly a month (and three months before that) of staying home without buying...

Always clean and well stocked. Be wary of some of the produce here as it can be hit or miss on freshness. Very friendly and helpful staff though. I choose going here over other nearby stores because it's not so crazy and everything is well organized and kept.

The seafood counter is great and fresh, and the deli country had some of the nicest staff. We get their salads often. The hot wing bar is another hit or miss, there is not a lot of consistency to the prepared food there.

The store has a nice alcohol selection with the major brands and some local stuff.

Actually that's one of the things I like about this store is that they clearly advertise the local items in all the departments. I'm more likely to buy goods produced nearby.

Overall it's a nice store. I just wish their produce was a bit better...

I love shopping @ Hannaford. However, I wish they would STOP! slathering those fabulous cheesecakes slices @ the Bakery with that awful tasting, messy faux cream. YUK! The rest of the store is always great! Nice, professional staff. No endless POLITICAL survey boxes @ the end of the checkout. I have never, ever bought spoiled food in Hannaford or MOLDY BREAD / ROLLS as I have in a different store close to Hannaford, many. many times! The stores are always clean, the public bathrooms always clean & sanitized. Always enough Baggers on the checkout lanes, always polite. ALWAYS THANKED for shopping there! ALWAYS! Just off a few clean cheesecake slices without any toppings and I would be super, duper happy! Cashiers ALL need raises, they are great! Helpful, courteous, pleasant & efficient! Such...
