Five Guys — Restaurant in Town of Niskayuna

Tried calling in an order ahead of time and was placed on hold, although I could hear everything that was occurring, as if they simply placed the phone down on the counter. After at least fifteen minutes of waiting, I believe that they forgot I was supposed to be helped. The entire time, I could hear the staff take orders in the background, though for the last several minutes I could hear them casually laughing and joking with one another. (I understand that the staff needs to help the customers in the store, especially if it's particularly busy, but from what I could hear on their end, it was not so busy as to justify a fifteen minute wait on the phone.) After hanging up, I tried calling for a second time, since the staff did not seem to be busy, at least from what I had heard. After waiting for several minutes, the line was continuing to ring, and no one picked up. At this point, it was no longer convenient for me to try calling them for a third time, and I had to drive to the store itself and place my order there. Usually I am very satisfied with the service at Five Guys, and their food is, and was, excellent as always receiving it, but today's service was an unusual low for the Five Guys in...

Food is okay buns break apart, the fries are the only thing I enjoy. Workers do not practice safe food handling. Cashier with the black shirt and hat with tattoos. He was wearing gloves went from the register to making food, went to restock condiments, napkins, touched his hat back to making food then the register wearing the same pair of gloves. In my opinion that's not only disgusting but also a major health concern. Also the soda machine clearly never gets changed, drinks are always flat or all taste like seltzer. I have asked nicely before if they can fix the machine the workers would tell me nothing is wrong with it. When you ask for a refund they give you a big stink. I am sorry I don't want to drink something I am not going to enjoy and taste like garbage. This place has gone down hill significantly and...

I have always received great food here!! My boyfriend and his family had never tried it before this year and now I've got them hooked! Burgers are made exactly right and are consistently delicious. Toppings are fresh, meat is perfectly cooked and the bacon is crispy. Fries are made with peanut oil which give them a unique flavor. Generous portions on the fries, too... they fill your cup, put it in the bag, then heap another scoopful on top. They also make great milkshakes... they take a little while but are well worth it. You can also mix and match shake flavors which is cool (highly recommend a Chocolate Peanut Butter Banana shake). Takes a little longer than fast food but is cheaper and tastes better than most...
