Hatchet Hardware — Local services in Town of North Greenbush

Went into look at hedge trimmers. Was interested in a Stihl brand I wanted to know more about it. I asked the woman who worked there if she had more information about the battery. She went looking and was gone for a couple of minutes and came back. She said everything was in the box and information on the outside she said we could take it to the cashier there were two women sitting up front at different spots . Anyway to make a long story short there was no tool inside the box despite the fact that the cashier said it was inside the box. Fortunately we opened the box up and there was no tool inside .evidently it was the one that was hanging up as a sample. After we pointed this out, the cashier seemed bothered that we were asking questions and it was not a very encouraging experience as far as customer service went .the store is well stocked but it seems like the employees need a little refresher course in...

I was pleased to see that a new Ace Hardware store was being built in Wynantskill, but was very disappointed when I noticed that the sidewalk that spans the front of the store had no ramping to allow a wheelchair access to the store. Today I decided to go around to the back of the store and discovered a very nice entrance with a ramped area and automatic door. What I don't understand is why there is no indication at the roadside of the building letting anyone who needs a handicap accessible entrance to know that it's there! The young woman at the register was very pleasant, but the matter of letting people who use wheel chairs know from the roadside that they can gain entrance to the store definitely needs to be addressed...

You walk in they greet you and unless you ask for assistance they are busy doing something, don't know what. They verbally or occasionally walk with you to the aisle you are looking for. They leave you and go elsewhere. One time looking for a bolt and screw and I had to search drawers myself.
