POTENTIAL BUYERS BEWARE: For those who are looking to get a fair deal on a new or used car avoid Certified Luxury Motors. This dealership advertise on various site a compelling price on various websites such as Kelly Blue Book, CarGurus etc... to lure you in only to increase the price exponentially. Let me tell you about my experience with Certified Luxury Motors Tue, 1.27.2025. I was interested in purchasing a preowned vehicle and had a budget of no more than 12k, as I did not want to finance or lease a vehicle. I didn't want any car payments or paying more than the value of the car due to the interest over the life of the loan. Certified Luxury Motors advertise a 2018 Audi Q5 2.0T Premium for $13,999. Pamela reached out to me about my interest, and sent me a text message regrding their "END OF THE MONTH SALES EVENT UP TO $3,500 OFF ON EVERY VEHICLE!!!!" I asked Pamela does the "up to $3,500" can be subtracted from the advertise price on Cargurus.com, she said yes. I thought this was great deal and I took time off work to see the Audi in person and then proceed with its purchase. Upon arrival, I was greeted by someone else by the given name of 'Bryan' and not 'Pamela'. This immediately raised a red flag. After having to retell why I am there, I was shown the car. There was some acceptable paint chipping and the interior was in fairly good condition. However, I noticed on the right front hood, there was an area with no clear coat and it was litterally pealing from the paint. This clearly suggest there was poor work done on the car which wasn't reported to CarFax. I brought it to Bryan's attention but he dimssed it. Depsite what I saw, I decided to look past it and wanted to address the price of the vehicle. To my surprise I was told that the $13,999 they advertise was only if you are going to finance the vehicle, and if I wanted to buy it in cash it would be more. I asked to speak to manager - as this didn't make any sense, and I started to see a great deception and dishonesty beginning to unfold. I express my suprise and grievance to 'Danny' the Manager. He showed me on the site where it mentioned there is a 3k + markup. However, this is not clealry mentioned on the site, but hidden in a sub menu and in small type. Danny then explained there's an additional $1,999 prep-fee. I am not sure what they prepped, as there was damages I mentioned above, and the back support and headrest of the driver seat had dirt marks. Danny then added other fees such as plates, docs etc.. where the so call finace price increase from $13,999 (lets round it to 14k) to a whopping $19,000. Thats a $5,000 increase from the advertise price. Now to buy the vehicle in cash, they said the sale price will increase to $21,000. Thats now a $7,000 increase from the avertised price. I then ask about "END OF THE MONTH SALES EVENT UP TO $3,500 OFF ON EVERY VEHICLE!!!!(BY APPT ONLY)". Danny response was it states 'up to $3,500' and he didn't want to honor the full amount, but honor less than half the amount. I asked Danny if the price was negotiable. His response was I paid about $17,256. I can't sell it below that price. This is clearly 'a bait and switch' tactic. While there, I did a search on this dealership. You'll see there are many complaints from other potential buyers on sites such as Kelly Blue Book and CarGurus about their bait and switch tactic. The reviews are spot on and they have a 2.7 rating on CarGurus. Don't waste your precious time and travel to see these people. Avoid this dealership like the plague. Guaranteed you'll be very disappointed. They are dishonest and deceitful. They don't have your best interest at heart, nor are they willing to be flexible to work out a deal. Their only concern is to get you into their dealership, have you develop an emotional attachment to the car of your choice so they can get as much as they can from you and direct you into a loan where they and banks will profit at your expense.

Read moreI thought I would be coming here to leave a 5 star review but unfortunately I’m here leaving a one star review after my experience with this dealership. First and foremost Stefania was sweet and tried her best to make sure I could be worked with to get a vehicle. I don't blame her but I blame the way that this dealership trains their sales people. I called this dealership 2 days ago and kept in constant communication allowing them to run my credit beforehand so I wasn’t going there to waste my time. Unfortunately my time was wasted anyway. My credit was not the greatest and I was prepared for a high interest rate as well as a possible high car payment however the way I was played with was diabolical. First of all I’m coming from afar and spent over $120 on an Uber back and forth to get there to ensure I would be leaving with a car which I was told I would multiple times before coming. I get there, I saw the car, I test drove it, and waited over 5-6 hours to see if I would get an approval. The car listed on the site was for $11,990 but when I sat down and got the actual numbers everything came out to $18000. The 7k up charge from the original price listed is actually insane. I was aware of my credit score so the moment I was told they were trying to approve me for a loan 7k more than the price they had on their site I just knew it wasn’t going to work but, even then I still gave them a chance and was still willing to finance with that new misleading price I received. After sitting there for hours and hours till nearly the closing time, I was told I got approved with the co signer I used but that I needed to put more money down than what I had on me. I agreed to put more money down and was told that all I had to do was get the insurance and that tomorrow my car would be ready for pick up. I paid for the insurance before leaving the dealership and was happy about the car. I was happy and excited and was ready to leave my 5 star review but then today 30 minutes before I was about to come and pick up my car, I was told that I needed a co-signer before getting approved and I was super confused because last night I was told I was approved with the co signer I already had and that I needed to just come with the rest of the money and pick up my car. I called out of work two days in a row because this dealership made me believe that I would have a car just to turn around and tell me something different. If you know what’s best for you please just stay away and save your money. Also be prepared to pay $7000 or more than what the original listing price is. You will not be paying for that listing price. To go from $11,990 to $18000 is honestly insane. I can understand, the normal fees that comes after such as the dmv, registration, title fees and such but that shouldn’t be more than $1500-2000. 7k up charge is outrageous. This clearly was a blessing in disguise for me because there are honest people out there with non misleading prices. It’s sad to lure innocent people like that who are in desperate need of a vehicle and to tell them they are approved and make them pay for insurance and everything just to turn around and say they really weren’t fully approved. Now I have to wait on a refund from the insurance company for canceling my policy that was supposed to start today to get my money back and I have all these hard inquiries on my credit report that’s gonna make my score go down even more. I wasn’t going to even leave a review but I’m so disappointed with how everything happened I just had to. No one apologized or anything for lying to me the way I was lied to which was even more disappointing. Tread...
Read moreAfter confirming my “accepted” application and wiring option for a down payment with the receptionist Shawn over the phone, I scheduled an appointment and sojourned 3 1/2 hours to “Certified Luxury Motors” in Great Neck, NY. Upon arrival, although the desired vehicle was clearly priced on their site, I was immediately asked on which search engine did I find their listing because that would determine the price I’d be paying for the vehicle, which according to their finance manager happened to be $4500 more. First off, I never saw a price other than what was was CLEARLY listed on their site, and secondly on a 20” apple monitor looking at the sales lady and I right in the face! Once I dismissed this completely and expressed how absurd this suggestion was, the sales lady agreed to honor pricing advertised on their site like she was doing me a favor. That’s simply being honest and integral when it comes to servicing your consumers. After all, we are the engine behind the success of your business. Ultimately, the finance manager came over to break down the “discount” he was giving me, basically patronizing me. He preached fine print and expressed the importance of reading…, the nerve. I suggested that we read it together, all of the discounts and price adjustments he suggested that I over looked were NOT in the fine print, but what he did find he highlighted repeatedly and attempted to over compensate for what we didn’t find. I knew that he wouldn’t, because I had indeed read the fine print prior to coming to the dealership. Even still, the price margins listed in the “fine print” did not speak to the $4500 random price difference I was being asked to pay… After a while we reached a reasonable number and I was ready to make my purchase, only to have the sales lady tell me that both banks needed to be open for the wire payment to be accepted. I exclaimed to execute a wire transfer, you only need the recipients information and confirmation of the issuing bank which was feasible. She goes to the financing manager, comes back and states that now there’s a hypothetical issue with the wiring process and I am only able to provide my down payment with a cashiers check. This comes randomly after I’ve confirmed the wiring option with their receptionist Shawn and expressed that I was traveling over 3 1/2hrs to get to their establishment. She seemingly had one job, that was to get me there by any means necessary. Over all my experience was less than acceptable, unprofessional, and they did not care or even acknowledge that both my TIME and MONEY was wasted, but it was suggested that I come back the following day…. The audacity. It would be very unbecoming to annotate my thoughts about that suggestion. Not a good experience at all. I will not be returning, nor would I recommend this dealership. Contrary to popular belief, Integrity, customer service, and simply honoring your word still...
