Came here on a whim with a friend because aerial yoga sounded interesting and different. The first few classes are a little tough, but the instructors are super welcoming to all levels and are patient in their teaching. After a few sessions, I started doing moves that I didn’t imagine would be possible before taking the classes. It’s rewarding to try something new (maybe fall a few times) and improve along the way. I’ve also taken the qi gong/posture class, yoga (vinyasa, wheel), socacize and they’re all fun and different. My posture has improved, energy levels higher, and somehow became more lean (clothes fitting better; I’m more of a cardio kind of person so this is surprising to me). I grew up in Great Neck as a kid, moved back as an adult, and this is probably the best example of local fitness/wellness community that I’ve personally seen, where everyone are like minded - seek to improve their practice and share with each other. Read moreAmazing experience at Ki Body and Spirit! I’ve been attending classes for a year now and absolutely love Unify Practice with Tae and Aerial Yoga with Katrina. Unify Practice is controlled breath work combined with Qigong and yoga poses. I always feel like all my stress has been exhaled out by the time class is done and keep coming back for more! Aerial yoga can look intimidating at first, but it is so much fun! It’s a great workout that combines yoga poses, body strength and coordination. I couldn’t find any other place near me that offered these unique classes AND with a huge parking lot in the back. The instructors are caring and go above and beyond to make sure everyone is caught up and safely holding the pose for all different levels and necessary modifications. Classes are easy to book on their website to reserve your spot. It can’t get any easier and I’m just about to run out of classes on my package. Time to get another one…...
Read moreThis place is a gem. I'm so happy to have found it. I initially was interested in yoga, but they also offer aerial and wall yoga so I got an opportunity to try those as well. It was a fabulous experience that I definitely plan to attempt again in the near future.
Personally, my favorite class is Dr. Kim's tai chi posture class. Even if ki body and spirit didn't have yoga, I would go just for his course. I'm finding it very helpful for my issues.
The instructors here are welcoming, kind, and very patient with all the modifications I need. They adjust classes to the students abilities and the yoga flows always leave me feeling energized by the time I leave.
Kendo is also offered here but I haven't tried it so I can't speak on its behalf. Still, from what I can see, it's high quality training too.
This is a wonderful place and I highly suggest everyone try it out.
Also, parking is convenient, and there's a grocery...
