I was at this park for a child's birthday party on August 10. It has good playground equipment. The kids like the option of playing in the sand and in the sprinklers. There is also lots of space to run around and lots of parking on weekends.
However, I cannot recommend this park because of the hazards posed in the oak trees above the playground. They are in desperate need of attention with so much rotting dead wood. There is a limb about 15 feet long that has already broken off and is rest on some branches just 25 feet above the swingset. There are longer limbs still attached but showing clear signs of death and decay.
I spoke to two workers present in the park at the time about the hazards, but they said they were unable to do anything about it until Monday. If you bring your children here, look up at the trees and be aware of wood that could fall and injure your child. Or just stay away until the Parks District fixes...

There are parking around the park. 2 entrance but one was locked. Weather felt like 80+. Most areas has shades and benches to rest. Water sprinkles in the water play area were on too cool off. Playground is filled with sand. Many different activities for kids to play. Park doesn't allow dogs. Restroom was open. There is a basketball court but I was press on time to visit that side.

There is one very ignorant Asian lady that frequents with her two sons that is very discriminatory to kids with special needs like my own (severe autism) who’s very intolerant of autistic behaviour.
