UPDATED REVIEW: This store is great. The people know everything about Android and Apple phones and they're friendly and SO HELPFUL!! I went recently because my phone died on a Sunday afternoon and they got me all back up and running on a new phone asap. They couldn't have been more helpful, sweet, and personable. They really cared about my satisfaction and that I was upset about my phone dying without notice. They were able to coach me through restoring my data from the cloud backup, and they even reviewed my mobile plan to be sure our family is getting the best rate. I COULD NOT BE HAPPIER! THEY ARE TERRIFIC!!! Thank you! ☆☆☆☆☆ (The bad employee from my original bad experience is long gone.)
The store has convenient parking and a great location right on the border of Great Neck and Little Neck. It's a nice store with great selection but the employee who helped me was just terrible. He knew all the phones and the features but the moment I signed the contract was the moment he stopped being helpful. He tried to rush me out with the new phone while I still had questions about it. I did a phone upgrade (from Samsung Galaxy Note 5 to Note 9) and waited for my turn to be helped. The guy actually said to me that I had to hurry up because he had other people waiting. I told him we hadn't even tested the phone to see that it worked and I had waited my turn to work with him. I'd been with him for only 10 minutes! And as it turned out he hadn't inserted the SIM card correctly and was trying to rush me out without even making sure the new phone worked! I told him that I was disappointed at how he kept trying to rush me and wasn't really answering my basic questions. He said nothing. I said that it seemed to me that he didn't care about providing customer service. He told me that he'd just woken up before he came out to help me. (I didn't know what to say to that...) His name was Saad or Sahad or Sahd - something similar to that. I'm writing the review in the hope that the store manager or other AT&T person sees it and cares enough to re-train him or give him a job that doesn't involve customer service. (Or if another customer goes there avoid this guy - the other employees seemed much friendlier and more patient.) This AT&T experience was really bad - the store itself is very nice. This one guy made it terrible so I guess this review is really...
Read moreI got a new sim card after I lost my sim when I was travelling internationally. When I returned back to the US the new sim was not working. I called customer care and they were not helpful, nor the in person store in queens which I visited, who told me its a technical issue and referred me to their corporate store in great neck
I arrived at the great neck store on wednesday morning on 03/26/25 and told the guy that my I was not getting any network on my new sim card. ATT rep - which phone are you using Me - Sony xperia 1 V ATT rep - we dont provide service to sony phones Me - but on your website my phone is listed as compatible ATT - " I do this for a living man, I know what I'm saying. We dont cover your phone. Either you need to get a different phone or a new number from us " Me - I dont want a new phone or a new number. Is there anything you can do to make it compatible with my phone ATT - NO
So I walked out disappointed and thought of changing carriers to one which supports my phone. I talked to my friend on whose carrier plan I am on about it but she said lets try calling their customer care number again and see if we get a different result. So she called customer care and this time there was somekne knowlegdble on the phone who knew what they were doing and fixed the problem and got it working in 10 mins.
To the in store representative I dealt with at the great neck store. I was the only customer you was dealing with so its not that you was busy with other customers and couldnt give me proper time to solve my problem. Not only were you confidently wrong but also full of arrogance to dismiss me without properly hearing me out. If you feel you are automatically right because " you do this for a living " maybe its time to find a different job coz clearly you are...
Read moreI had the worst experience at this AT&T location. I walked in with my husband ready to switch over from our current provider to At&T’s new 5G service and was sorely disappointed by the total lack of customer service. When we walked in a representative was working with a customer and that was fine because we are patient people and have no issue with waiting for assistance. Then another representative came out from a back room and he was also working with people who were there. My husband and I was standing in the store for 20 minutes and no one said anything to us. Not “hi, we will be with you once we are done” or “hi, it’s going to be about 20 minutes before either one of us is available.” NOTHING. Neither representative, Daisy or Aaron (I think that’s what he said his name was) even acknowledged that we walked into the store. This to me is unacceptable. Before walking out I briefly spoke to the male representative about us not being acknowledged and he was curt and unapologetic. Not only was I disappointed with my experience but it was also laced with racial undertones as the people who were receiving assistance with white and my husband and I are black. I will never go back to this location and this experience is really making me question whether I even want AT&T as a service provider if this is the way they treat...
