JOHN IS THE MAN!! I had a sound system installed in my 2012 Honda Civic Si Coupe by a mechanic friend, but the wiring was all wrong. I searched around for audio shops, but most places seemed like they’d just rip me off.

Then I found John at LI Sounds. He told me to stop by and as soon as I got there, he already had a good idea of what the issue was without needing to dig around. He was 100% honest (no sugar coating), laid out exactly what the problems were and even gave me multiple options to work within my budget.

Since then, John got my system bumping just how I wanted. He works efficiently, can multitask and is clearly a professional.

Other shops just want your money, but at LI Sounds, you get real value. If you want a budget setup, he can do it; but don’t complain if it’s not what you hoped. You can’t cheap out on audio and expect top-tier results.

After the install, the only issue I had was an 80A fuse that came with the Kicker amp for my 12” subs. It blew the next day. I went back, and he immediately swapped in a better fuse. Haven’t had a single problem since.

Went to LI Sounds with my spare backup key for my Camry, because it did not work. I asked the gentlemen behind the counter if he could check the battery in the key. Well, not only did he open the key, he replaced the battery inside and asked me to see if that solved the problem. Unfortunately, I wasn’t driving the Camry that day, so I couldn’t check it. The counter person suggested that when I got home, I should check to see if it worked and if it didn’t, it was possible that the program had been erased. He then showed me on his office computer how to find a you tube video (for my car) on how to reprogram my key. He was great ! Fortunately for me, the replacement battery had totally fixed the problem. Without exaggeration, he probably spent a half hour with me and the charge was $5. In these times of making a quick buck, LI SOUNDS , breaks that mold. They were personable, definitely know what their doing, and just a pleasure to do business with. Finding independent car audio installers on Long Island is getting harder & harder as people move away from custom installs and big box stores take over the remaining business. I needed to replace and upgrade the stereo system in my 2005 Tacoma. John was very honest with me and didn't try to sell me an over the top system with an amp and speakers that I didn't need. He explained my options and after I made my selection we set a date for the install. I showed up 1 week later and John was 100% ready for me. He had the wiring harnesses and the mounting hardware as well as my new Sony touchscreen radio laid out on his work table. There were a few issues with getting the new stereo to fit but he is a seasoned professional and I had my new radio installed and looking and WORKING great in about 1.5 hours.
