TOPS Friendly Markets — Local services in Town of Ontario

Did a pretty good job of cleaning the place up. Still not anywhere near how nice the Walworth Tops is. While the facelift was appreciated they regressed in inventory. Either the person in charge of ordering or their selected suppliers are sub standard. They stopped carrying some pretty standard stuff like seeded Beef Steak rye bread, OutShine creamy coconut bars, Dole or Chiquita bananas. This is not a supply issue as I have started shopping at Wegmans and never have an issue with purchasing these items. Hope they can get their act together as the location was convenient.

December 2021: Ontario Tops are making some improvements on ordering and have once again started carrying seeded and unseeded Beef Steak rye bread. The improved effort adds a star.

May 2022: Ontario Tops continue to make improvements in ordering or getting better suppliers as many of the food items they stopped carrying are now available at this store. Continual improvement deserves acknowledgment and with appreciation, I have taken them...

So I called to see if they can cash a check because my bank account was compromised and they said yes until 7pm. So I make the drive from Webster only for them to let me know at the desk “I just want to let you know sometimes it doesn’t work” and it didn’t they said yeah happens all the time sorry. So you don’t really cash checks then tell people the correct information tell them it’s possible but there’s a chance you’ll be denied and we have no idea why. Tell them that over the phone so they don’t drive all the way there for nothing but a sorry it didn’t work can’t do anything response. If they would just tell me over the phone these details I wouldn’t have made any complaints they simply said “ yes we do cash checks” I won’t ever come back here it’s not a good grocery shop to begin no reason to. I guess it’s the main thing if you live in Ontario though. To me if a business does something like that I’m never going back you wasted my time. So people should know this they cash checks when they and the system...

We use to like this store but after yesterday we have changed our minds.If you have Heathy benifits card and snap this store makes it very hard to use them appropriately. We scanned items that our app for the healthy benifits says is eligible and the register said I didn't have enough funds but I did and my app told the balance. So 3 workers came over to help my husband and I and the youngest one said you can only scan the snap card first or it won't take the cards.Like What?No other store does that.We wanted to use the Healthy benifits first and then the snap because you have to use all benifits before the end of the month or you lose them.The snap will remain and add to the next month so it's wise but the store must not be putting all items in there system so the benifit card won't pay for alot of items the app says are eligible.
