Great job on the repairs, software fixes, and upgrades to my PC. Thank you!

I was pretty nervous about finding and reloading all the software that was previously installed before drive failure. You guys managed to extract all the clues I needed to get things back to normal - a list of all installed products complete with website names and version levels. I especially was nervous about reinstalling my password manager (1Password). I just checked, and there are 121 unique passwords stored there. It would have been a nightmare for me if that hadn't worked! It was recovered smooth as silk to the exact same version and maintenance level as before. There was a huge sigh of relief when all those passwords became available again.

The new disk drive and DVD burner are working flawlessly. Windows is 100% current on all maintenance. All my old software is reinstalled, relicensed, updated if required, and humming along just beautifully.

BTW, boot time is just 15 seconds according to Glary Utilities. I'd say 15 seconds is a pretty good boot time for a machine that will be six years old this fall...

My laptop screen cracked the same week that a deer jumped in front of my car and my phone decided to turn into a paper weight. Lucky me right? So I found this place as I was driving through town and have to admit, didn't think much of it at first. But that all changed when I walked in through the front door. The service was warm, friendly, and inviting. The gentlemen there looked over my laptop and gave me various options that would best suit my needs. All well within reason as well. Once we decided upon what we needed, I left my device in his capable hands (Oh, by the way, don't do what I did and forget the charger hahaha!) All through the week, I was given constant updates via text if something came up, or if anything else was discovered. He even let me know that repairs might take a little longer because the first screen he ordered didn't work. And finally when all was said and done, the laptop looked brand new. My first impression is very positive. They are well organized, knowledgeable, pleasant. I'm hopeful they will root out the problem withy machine. They wasted no time getting started on it. They were looking into it within a few hours after I dropped it off. I'm hoping for the best.

Well....they got to the bottom of the problem...it was not good news. My old baby is repairable but being over 7 years old, not affordably or logically. They were willing to do the work, but they made note that I might be able to get a new one for nearly the same money. I appreciate their candor. Sometimes a fix is not the right answer, even if it is possible. I had hoped that the "fix" might be one of those, "you dummy, you didn't have it turned on" kind of things, but it was not. They charged me a very reasonable amount for the diagnostic and put the pile o parts back together for me to take home.
