All In Adventures Escape Rooms — Local services in Town of Poughkeepsie

Not a good experience. I booked a room for 9 people 7 days in advance. I was contacted at 1:45 the day of being asked to move the reservation 1 hour earlier because my current reservation would extend 15 minutes past the time that they close. It seems corporate and this franchise are disconnected about the operating hours and the need to sign a waiver ahead of time. I told them that I could not change the time of my reservation with such short notice. They ended up honoring the original reservation time. We reserved the Sherlock room. This room should not be marked as large enough for 8/9 people. We were crammed into a tiny room which made it difficult to work as a team. Also, the room is not set up to solve progressive puzzles. You come across a folder with all the clues and are suppose to figure out where each one goes. This is not how a regular puzzle room is set up. After struggling a very long time we find out that not one but two of the locks are "finicky" and didn't open even though we had the right combinations. This experience was beyond frustrating and I would not recommend going here. We did Escape from Alcatraz for my son’s birthday. It was a single room and just a series of locks on metal boxes that required very little problem-solving. Each time the staff member came into the room he apologized that he “wasn’t really sure what was going on because this isn’t his regular place to work”, and multiple items were missing from the room. He was nice, and my son had fun despite the fact that the rest of the group was either annoyed, confused or downright bored. There was also very little fanfare at the end, and the level system was really confusing. The game master did not know how to use the final key system, which apparently revealed a secret message, so the end was really anticlimactic. I’ve done two other escape rooms at other places which involved solving riddles, math or puzzles. This was just an empty room with a bunch of padlocked chests and shabby materials. Myself and 4 other people planned out to go try out this new escape room place. We were going to possibly do even another room after due to all the rooms being available and none of them being booked. We all went and got there HOURS before closing time. We were greeted in a very rude way and pretty much told that they were closed when their sign said they are open the doors were open the website says they are open as well as the MALL DIRECTORY. We came in to do a room we showed the Male worker (didn’t get his name) how it says there is a room available with 8 open spots remaining. Apparently it was already booked the room is busy AND they are “closed”. We left annoyed and decided to call up the all in adventures number to see if we just misread the closing time.
