I have enjoyed my audio avocation since graduating from HS, using a variety of dealers in several states, numerous web resources, and a variety of media. Adirondack Audio/Video has become my "go-to" source for equipment and informed conversation. I enjoy visiting the store for myriad reasons:

Knowledgeable staff who can speak at my level of audio understanding. Every person I've encountered in the store has been solicitous, but I also tend to be patient/courteous and don't interrupt conversations. Quality of equipment they sell at all price points. Jason Tavares has chosen wisely the brands represented in the store; Service is outstanding! I've been informed of manufacturer upgrades and promotions (e.g., NAD, Nordost) when they would impact my system; The installation team graciously spent hours helping re-configure networking in an older home that had cable everywhere! Jason has made house calls to my home and those of many other customers to set up equipment. I have always had the luxury of trying a component in my home system before buying. This is such a valuable practice, as the showroom is NOT my room; and I can visit the store just to see what's new or to listen to a pair of speakers for an hour. Their focus is on not just on selling equipment, but on the enjoyment of the highest quality sound my budget can afford!

Obviously, I am a fan of Adirondack Audio/Video, but they have earned this relationship over time for the reasons...

Buying from them is the exact opposite experience when compared to buying from a big box like a Best Buy. Jared, the owner, reached out to me after I left a message looking for guidance. He spent a ton of time advising me and even was texting with me to support me during my setup. The depth of knowledge and attention to the details was great. I came to them on a budget as I am just breaking into the record player scene and I am amped (I had to say it) with the final outcome. I’ve already referred a few friends to them who have asked about where I got hooked up.

They typically do high end and higher budget but I felt that Jared gave me the same attention as someone who might spend 50-80 times the amount that I did which I appreciated.

Adirondack Audio and video have old school service and new school technology. There crew has been together for years which really shows.
