The park is falling into disrepair. Many rides were closed when we visited at the end of July (the height of the season, everything should be working). Some of the rides and decorations are clearly getting the minimal amount of upkeep. Paint is flaking badly on the bottom of the pools and they should’ve been stripped and repainted long ago. The decorative lights on many of the rides weren’t working at all. The layers of dust and grime make the rides look pretty shabby.

They’re painting the old story town stuff to make it look nice, but I don’t think anyone really cares about that.

I think the word has gotten out to the rest of the public too. Lines for the rides were short, which helped offset our general disappointment with the place.

It was still a fun day with the kids, but we’ve decided that we’re probably not going back again. There are better amusement parks that only require a slightly longer drive. There are tons of better water parks. The prices have gotten so high that this is no longer a good...

First time going to Great Escape Waterpark and it wasn’t bad but can be improved. This waterpark is smaller and has fewer thrilling rides and fewer dining options compared to the other six flags waterparks. If your kids are at least 48” then they can go on many of the rides. The wave pool was fun and waves came frequently but it only goes up to 5 feet. The lazy river was fun and relaxing, but not enough tubes so had to wait for people to get off. They don’t have a pool for older kids to play in but a few kiddie pools and splash pads. Wait times were not bad since it wasn’t crowded. I disliked that the waterpark is separated into different areas and you need to walk up and down a hill-like road to get to it. It makes walking with kids especially harder and more tiring. Also, they only have one bathroom location which is the changing station as well located near the kiddie pool area. Need more bathrooms! Hours are short as well opening from noon to 5:30 pm. My kids did have fun here and wouldn’t...

I go here to take my kids because it's close. I sit at the water park while they ride rides. It's gone downhill quite a bit. One of my complaints last year was the paint on the bottom of the wave pool is all chipping so when you walk in the wave pool there's things floating all over and you feel crumbling concrete I thought they would fix it maybe for this year. No such luck, not even a fresh coat of paint to keep the loose debris on the bottom of the pool. It's disgusting It feels awful. I wish Six Flags would invest some money into this park. They put another crummy roller coaster that's for kids. My boyfriend and I wrote it and we can't get back that 45 seconds in our life that's how bad it was. I wish they would convert the Comet to an RMC coaster or something. Get rid of the Steamin Demon bring in some bigger rides. Bringing a nice out and back hyper coaster...

We attended on a day of fright fest. Several rides weren't open which was disappointing. As I watched the change over to fright fest I was disappointed. I was surprised to see characters walk up behind people, especially smaller children and just scream. I've been coming to the Great Escape for decades and have never witnessed this before during fright fest. I didn't find this behavior scary or frightening, it was annoying and somewhat cruel, which isn't what fright fest is about. I will say some of the costumes and makeup were outstanding.

Great just please clean the pools. I had a ton of band-aides coming flying with the waves in the wave pool. Also hair . I love the wave pool please keep it clean 😊 prices could go down with the food , also shouldn’t have to wait 4 hours between meals with the passes ! Please have life guard on duty at the bottom of the kids water slide near the wave pool. We do love the atmosphere & all the attractions for the littles especially with timber town and the water park is our absolute favorite for the kiddos ! Hot tub needed for adults 🤣

It's definitely the smallest Six Flags Park I've been to. The coasters are also less on the wild side and more family oriented. That said it is a good looking park. Appears well kept and has good views. The coasters are still fun even though most are on the smaller side. The Bobcat was smooth and had enough small pops of air time to make up for the shorter length. Comet was longer and fun but definitely bumpier due to its age. Steamin Demon wasn't as rough as it's reputation.
