Service for regular lab panel on June 27th 2024. Have been going to LabCorp for regular preventative blood work quarterly for 2 years. Insurance covers this 100%. In October received an invoice for this service date for $246.75. November 23rd 2024 received an updated invoice for the amount of $26.93! Again, all previous visits for the same service we're 100% covered by insurance. Contacted LabCorp who has outsourced all customer service to the Philippines. Difficult to understand but slow going and apparently they had the "wrong address" for my insurance company as it was explained (which does not track with a reduction from $246.75 on invoice previously received). At this point I was asked about more information regarding my Medicare. Please bear in mind that LabCorp has repeatedly verified my insurance and Medicare information several times if not each visit. I contacted my primary insurance company, and they informed me that they had received this invoice and processed it. I explained I had never had any previous troubles and that all my laboratory work previous had been covered 100%. Verified with them that my insurance covers preventative blood work quarterly. On October 3rd 2024 I had another lab panel performed by LabCorp. When I asked my insurance company about that insurance claim, they did not even have a record of it yet, and it is now November 23rd. So 50 days after my date of service my insurance is still not I received a claim for that service!
I brought to the attention of the individual I was speaking with the fact that this was a obvious issue with their billing department and wish to file a complaint. I also complained about why I was being billed $26.93 as "The Patient's financial responsibility" for the June 27th 2024 date of service. I was told to ignore the remaining responsibility for $26.93 and "wait for 30-45 days" and ignore any further billing.....
Registered a complaint and was told I would get a call back tomorrow, but considering this is Thanksgiving week, that will be an amazing accomplishment if indeed they do return my call to address my complaint as to why I have had to repeatedly contact them.
Previous to all of this I have had nothing but superb service from the phlebotomist all the way through the billing aspect to completion, however it is obvious that something radical has changed within this organization and has brought it down from top-notch to worst than Quest...
Read moreI would give negative stars if I could. The receptionists/nurses were incredibly rude and inhumane. They made me wait outside in 90 degree weather in direct sunlight for over an hour because no one was allowed to wait in their huge airconditioned waiting room. The only place to stand was next to a beehive. When I asked where I was in line, they refused to tell me saying they would call me. I did not have a phone with me. It was like pulling teeth trying to get any sensible answer out of them. After asking multiple times they told me I was after four people. When I saw four people leave the lab I went in and asked when my turn was. The receptionist blew up at me that I have to be patient and wait my turn. Finally when I was seen they treated me like a criminal. They kept admonishing me and forced me to take off my religious hair covering without giving me privacy. Anyone who walked into the lab could have seen me. They continuously spoke over me and would not let me get any word in. The women claimed they were acting the way they were because they were understaffed. That is no excuse for treating human beings worse than dogs. I was not the only person this happened to. I saw multiple people being treated in the same way. They weren't decent to anyone. This division should be closed down. The performance of this lab reflects poorly on the entire company. Read moreCRAZY PLACE! Lunch begins at 11:30 and ends at 12:30. I was there at 11:23 and the door was locked already. It was reopened 12:32. Maggie was nasty. She spoke so angry. I was only called into the room at 12:50 when I was there 1st after lunch. No reason to make me wait 20 minutes. The girls in the front were talking and laughing between themselves and let a waiting room full of people sit and wait. In the room I waited another 10 minutes till Maggie showed up. She was far from gentle. I do bloodwork at my doctors office every 3-4 months for 7 years already. Never ever did I stay with a black or blue mark. This time a different doctor sent me to labcorp for my bloodwork and Maggie made the blood test hurt and she left me with a bad black mark. And now many hours later it still hurts me. Maggie should be fired and someone young, happy and nice should take over her position. Labcorp needs to have a competition and maybe only then will they change their service and attitude. Bad bad bad is an understatement!!!! Shame on you labcorp and shame on you Maggie. If anyone knows where I can call to complain on labcorp you can reply to me.
