The store itself was pretty good with a decent variety. The bakery department was full of sweet temptation nicely presented and the young lady who was helping us was very pleasant. Greeted us with a smile and when our order was completed told us to have a nice day. When we got to the cashier things were different. She greeted us and began to ring us up. Another cashier came to her with a question and she answered and continued to speak to the other cashier. Then our cashier began and continued a conversation with another worker while ringing us up. She didn't even tell us the total. My husband looked at the total and paid through the card reader while she continued to talk. She handed him the receipt with barely a glance and while we were leaving her back was turned to us and she was still talking to a co-worker. Read morePrices are too high; even their sale prices are much higher than their competitors Stop & Shop and ShopRite. Last week I finally stopped reading their sale circular and just...
Read moreOlive Bar...The rest of the store has interesting products but the olive bar looks good but tastes disgusting. IT'S ALL SALT... EVEN THE FETA CHEESE WHICH IS ALREADY SALTED! This store is buying the dregs...the bottom of the barrel of...olives, roasted garlic, etc. and that is why it is all salted so much and is only $5.99 a pound. Other supermarkets are $8.99 a pound for the same type salad bar items but theirs is top of the line compared to Gala. I ended up throwing it all out and lost close to $9 buying these dregs when I should've gone to Best Market, Stop 'n Shop or King Kullen and gotten a pound of something I could actually eat!...
