I am so grateful for my son Zion’s piano teacher, affectionately called Aunty Penelope. From the very beginning, she has shown such passion and patience in her teaching. She understands Zion’s personality and knows how to connect with him—whether it’s calming him when he feels restless or helping him focus when his attention drifts.

One moment that really stood out to me was when Zion became frustrated and distracted while learning a new piece. He was ready to act up, but Aunty Penelope calmly reassured him, broke the song into smaller parts, and celebrated each step along the way. By the end of that lesson, not only was he playing with confidence, but he was also smiling and proud of himself. That kind of encouragement is priceless.

Her love for music and her students shines through in every lesson. She communicates openly, is always on time, and makes the learning process joyful and encouraging. My daughter has worked with Ms. Penelope since 7th grade and is currently a HS freshman. Ms Penelope’s virtual weekly sessions have increased my daughter’s vocal abilities and given her an abundance of confidence. I’m truly convinced because of Ms. Penelope my daughter was accepted to La Guardia HS’s vocal program ( my daughter’s #1 pick).
