Last week, I purchased a clearance sectional couch from a local furniture store and was told it was there because the customer didn't like the color when it was originally shipped. When I received the couch I found out the zipper on the largest cushion on the chaise portion of the sectional was destroyed. When I contacted the store, they said the couch was "as-is, no returns."
I am active duty military and had one day before all of my furniture was going to be packed up and shipped to Germany. Before the store's manager could call me back, I searched online and found Carulli's. The owner listened to my story and asked me if he could keep it for a couple of hours to "play with it." After two hours, he had repaired it, BETTER THAN NEW, for so unfair a cost to him that the only way to make it fair was to write this post. I was a service member in need and he bent over backward and beyond to help my family out when it wasn't his problem.
What's funny: After I dropped off the cushion to Carulli, I went to get a haircut. I told the barber the story, and he sang their praises. He even said the barber's chair I was sitting in was their craftsmanship.
When I went online to find a upholstery shop, none of them had reviews. I am proud that I can be the first to vouch online for this...
